eeerrrmmm... obvious question, but you have added domain to hostgator right? lol, had someone shouting at me the other day they couldn't get domain on hostgator after 5 days, then realised they had forgotten to do add domain.

in hostgator cpanel, scroll down, you will see "Addon Domains", click, add your domain, choose password, click ADD Domain

Funny...I have 5 domains at namecheap that have been trying to get their nameservers changed to hostgator for the past 2 days :(
It's really holding me up. Gonna contact them if they ain't up by morning.

My 70+ Godaddy domains got their hosting transferred in less than a day 3 days ago...

I had such bad times until I figured how to properly set up domain and hosting and not waiting whole day to access my site.

I usually register my domain at namecheap, register dns server (during registration, before cc transaction and before creation) and (after domain is created) transfer dns to hostgator. Then in hostgator I add a domain in reseller whm and my site is immediately in the air. I guess it's about 1 minute needed to setup new account in whm. I just did it this way, but when I do opposite way (first create account at hostgator and THEN register a domain at namecheap OR just transfering dns AFTER domain creation) it can be a whole day for my site to be accessible, so I do it the first way.

I hope someone can understand me... :)

I do it the same way as Bokva and I get the same quick results, just make sure to spell your domain name correctly when you create the "Add on Domain" at Host Gator, might want to even copy and paste if it's something bizarre. I was off a letter once and it took me a while to figure out what had gone wrong.
