namecheap domain and hosting

Hi! I'm looking for the best hosting and domain for my affiliate website. I've only got $150 to spend for my website and I wanted to spend more on marketing, seo and social media ads instead of hosting. I've read a couple of forums and people recommended namecheap. Are there any other hosts that are cheaper (or more reliable) than namecheap?


I thought of purchasing bluehost but it's a little expensive - $48 / year
Name Cheap Domain: $10
Name Cheap Host: $10

Total: $20 for the first year. Is this a good value for money? Can I lower down the cost? Thanks

It's actually very good, I have the same hosting many of my domains, you may find even cheaper hosting but things get slow then.

how many visitors does your site have? How many can it handle? Tnx
 
Namecheap support is good comparing other providers, u got live support too, but good for less visitors, if u intend to bring more traffic consider VPS, Namecheap VPS is not cost friendly.
 
Namecheap 20$ for first year but you will pay $48 next year for the same plan. I think ipage is much better option for hosting and obviously namecheap for domain because you will get 1 year domain privacy free as well.

Why not try InternetBS for domains? .com for $8.99 and then renewal at $9.38, with free private whois.
 
BlueHost is providing free domain and site developing services.
But NameCheap is more cheaper than BlueHost. NameCheap is good, you have to use it for a good start.
 
I changed to Namecheap this year, I don't have any major complaints, they're cool
 
I have a hosting plan with Bluehost and another one with Namecheap.

If I remember right, the best shared hosting plan of Namecheap costs less than the worst Bluehost plan.
I don't know what happens after the first year tho.

From my little personal experience, NameCheap is better, the servers of BlueHost was slow for me, even the reloads on wp-panel was taking a life sometimes!

My WordPress sites are still under heavy development, So I can't tell you how they are doing with traffic.

namecheap is good. I have used shared hosting, domain, vps, dedicated servers. Everything is good with them.

Try some new providers like http://www.webxen.com/domains.php which are providing .com for 8.95 and their renewal price is also same as registration price. Just checked their thread on wht forum.
 
Cheap is almost always means low quality. So, when you are looking for a host you should make choice based on their reliability and customer satisfaction, not price.
