Namecheap.com and dynadot.com blocked in india.

I did get some errors in the morning but it's working fine for now.
It will be temporary, they will accept everything soon, they got a lot of business from India,

Because you can't login into namecheap, site cant open? Is that not a good enough reason.

Don't we have a VPN option? :D
EDIT: WTF you are right just checked Namecheap is down but can access with vpn tho.

I had opened a thread asking regarding Namecheap yesterday.
Namecheap twitter had already posted to use a VPN in case you face any issues accessing their websites.
Cannot say about other registrars.

It's all related to new IT laws something regarding cybersquatting and also other cases where registrars outside India don't take any action to take down notices.

Nope I use the nc vps for client demos. It is not super important to have low latency. I have no issue with them yet, but if I can’t pay with my cc, how would I continue with them? :p

As long as my icici cc works, I can continue with them just fine. I have vpn so I can visit the site just fine. :)

They do have crypto option also and I assume CC should work fine with VPN I have used both debit and credit cards for online payments in past for some SEO tools. :p
Dumb people, dumb government. Freedom is a joke. :D
Strange thing I often see people complaining here that XYZ registrar took down their domain because of some official compliant/court order.
And here are these registrars not taking any action on official complaints.

Initially yesterday when I experienced this and asked here regarding namecheap issue I thought it might be due to the geo political situation.
But If there are multiple registrars involved then there's surely some problem here.
Wondering how much GoDaddy paid for this.
Godaddy responds to these complaint's I know that from experience. :D

I'm more than sure if someone puts GoDaddy under the scope, they will be charged with a lot of money for bad business ethics

I am sure they messed up some gov rules.

That is messed up :) We have some blocked places but never a domain registrar, That is insane

Yes, as usual innocent people get caught up in the illegal actions of a few. Did anybody read the judgement?

No due process for innocent domain registrants caught up in this, and the lack of UDRP filing by the corporations is surprising as they are well aware of this process in brand protection and who are well financed and a minor cost in the grand scheme of things. The enforcement over obvious or not so obvious trademark issues is not the business of Registrars. The Registrars are not policing of TM infringement, the venue of recourse is WIPO so question is why isn't the Indian Government directing the plaintiffs to pursuing this matter in the proper venue?

"Namecheap Inc, it is clear that stringent steps would be required to be taken, in order to curb the menace of illegal domain name registrations having well known marks and names of business houses."

Namecheap should have responded that WIPO is the UDRP venue and international court.

"The court was hearing a bunch of pleas, concerning proliferation of fraudulent domain names, filed by trademark and brand owners seeking reliefs again"

HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LTD vs UNILEVERR1.IN (No UDRP found)

ULTRATECH CEMENT LIMITED vs UltratechCements. com (No UDRP found)

BAJAJ FINANCE LIMITED vs. BAJAJ-FINSERVE.ORG- (No UDRP filed, used for phishing or bad faith?)

AMAZONBUYS.IN (No info found on a filed UDRP, why not?)

MONTBLANCINDIA.COM Seriously?, UDRP Transferred- Case Number D2019-2912

JOCKEY INTERNATIONAL INC. vs JockeyFranchise . com (No UDRP filed)

BAJAJ FINANCE LIMITED vs. BAJAJ-FINSERVE.ORG (NO UDRP filed)

AMAZONBUYS.IN (Registering this obvious TM infringement- no wonder Microsoft, MCDONALDS CORPORATION, Amazon, Godaddy, etc are involved. Mont Blanc (UDRP), COLGATE PALMOLIVE COMPANY, should be pursuing this in WIPO. Why not? )

See 17 March 2022 page, isn't this a fake page?

"The primary issue that arises in these cases is that the proliferation of these fraudulent and illegal domain names has resulted in enormous damage to innocent and gullible members of the public, who have mistakenly paid large sums of money to the said website owners/domain name owners."
