A few weeks ago I redirected 2 domains in namecheap advanced DNS settings to my money site.
The redirect is working fine.

However it now showed up in the backlinks for my site on ahrefs... as no-follow.

Any1 know what I did wrong with the redirect?

any1?

Have you checked it yourself to make sure it is nofollow? It could just be a bug with Ahrefs.

If it is nofollow, you can either talk to Namecheap support to see what the issue is, or just turn off the redirect, host the domain somewhere, and add a 301 redirect in the .htaccess file. That's what I would do to be sure it is done correctly.

If you don't know how to write the code for the .htaccess file, you can find plenty of examples online.

I've never experrienced nofollow redirects. As you know, google can read any kind of redirect. what means you can even use window.location and http refresh methods for redirect and some link juice will pass anyway.

personally ive used namecheap redirects but not on any ranked project so cant tell if they work or not, but i guess They do. check httpstatus.io - if it returns 301 or 302 then its fine

I've done a 301 with namecheap and I'm assuming everything is ok as the links to the domain I've redirected to shows the backlinks in GWT from the redirected domain, So does that mean it's Ok?
