I heard they offer free whois guard. Does anyone that is using them ATM have any info in this? Is it only for the first year like godaddy, or does it stay free forever?

Also: how is auto renew setup? Can you just get it to automatically bill your credit card, or do you have to have the funds in your account?

Thanks! +Rep to whoever answers.

It's free as long as you have the domain registered with name.com

Awesome. Do you know whether they can just bill my credit card automatically, or do I need funds in the account?

I just use a credit card but you can add money to the account with paypal as well.

I believe Profit is right. Namecheap's free whois protection is free for only a year, but Name.com's seems to be free as long as you keep your domains with them :)

name.com ftw.. !! they provided free whois guard as long u have ur domain there..

Default is set to not automatically bill AFAIK..Their set-up is good, they e-mail you well in advance of expiring domains & the private who.is [free] is a treat :) I have 90% of my domains registered with name.com.

damn i wish i have $10 on epass or paypal :(

I've got the majority of my domains there.

Free private WHOIS, fast DNS, 1st of a couple of warning email 3 months before the domain expires...

Every month they have a couple of discount coupons.

I use this page to check them:

Code:
http://www.domainpromocodes.com/promo-codes/name-com/

Just type the promo-code into the box on the checkout-page at name.com
(I hate clicking links on sites I don't know that lead me to any of my accounts....:D)
