Naked anchors spam

Hey guys,

I have a site, for example https://best-example.com and I want to rank it for keyword "best example" (as the site name itself).

Has anyone tried to spam such sites with backlinks with naked anchors to reach top positions? If yes, could you give some advices please?

I'm interesting in it because I've heard naked anchors less spammy for G and the domain name consist the keyword in name. I want to test, but maybe someone has already done it.

if by "naked anchor spam" you mean having ONLY naked anchors then yeah, that's bad. No normal site only has 1 type of anchors, this screams link building to google and your site will most like get penalized if you do this.

But this is not about naked anchors only, all spammy anchors are bad when it's only 1 type of anchors, so...

Agree--you don't want one kind of link.* Naked urls are ok when used where they make sense. Organically, you see naked urls posted as links in UGC like forum posts. Reddit is a good place to place those--sparingly. You also see them in content that has links as footnotes rather than in-text links. You don't want to put them in long form content.

Outside of the odd high value forum post, you probably aren't getting a lot of great links that way. If it's a competitive niche, I would only use those anchors for diversity on your actual site.

*I'm not sure there is a penalty for having too many links to naked urls so much as it will devalue your link profile.
