I am a computer science student and specialise in security(black hat). I want to start making money online, and am starting with nothing. I have tried side-tick, but that bubbled down to a pyramid scheme so I tried fake referrals but they kept only giving me about quarter what I was meant to get, if I was lucky.
I am considering using blogs (blogspot) to get the first money to buy domains, and also plan to use it to learn what types of content most people like/visit. I understand in SEO that the bots/spiders will enter another instance of your site to the DB every time it crops up, on each page.

All I have so far is "One page per thread/post" and that I want it to be teaching people how to program/hack. If more information would be good please ask here, I kind of need to get feedback throughout the thought process or else I will struggle to put it all together. I mainly need ideas on the topics to write about, how often to write on the blog, as well as how to monetize such a site.

My first £100 will go towards buying books on SEO and domains and hosting.

Thank you for reading, and thanks in advance for any replies.

    Hi there,

if you are a Securiy/"Hacker" guy and if you want to make a Security blog I suggest you to write about HOT topcis, I would check theregister/wire slashdots/danchev/AV blogs and other information security related blogs to get good trends Ideas.

write interesting blog posts about these trendy topics and try to add some more "lights" to these topics, for example 4 months ago writing about the Stuxnet case was a great hipe, also cyberwar, warfare and cybercrime are very popluar topics nodays.

Good Luck from Security Guy to Security Guy ;)

Would it be legal to give "Try it yourself"ware on the site?
Like I could use sharecash or similar to host the source codes of the relevant tools for readers to test? as examples. (I love programming all day and all night and might get the odd-extra viewer).
How would I determine the writing style?
I usually use a LOT of code and dry literal typing when writing articles. Would this be a good way to go? (like Microsoft has for developers) or would it be better to have a bit of a laugh with it like some of the cheaper newspapers?

    tl;dr
    Better like a textbook or a pop-magazine?
Is it legal to share malware source code for samples/educational purposes?

I'm not an Advocate so I can't tell you what is legal and what isn't.
I suggest you to write more about interesting topics than sharing "malwares", try to write about it, make interesting analzation, do reviews for new tools, try to be a whitehat hacker will give your blog more power and vistors that pays for softwares and click on ads.
in my opinion you should use a bit of a laugh it can't do any bad :)
if you really want to make money online stop asking about the perfect way, just read this forum, understand the concept and take actions! get a webhosting, install wordpress (it is free!) download a nice theme (you can search the theme download section) and write your firs 5 posts! add new posts every day/week, and start building backlinks you can start with submitting to directory submitions and go to relevant forums in the nicle of your blog, add signture to your profile with following backlink, and write helpful posts! take 30minutes every day to do it.. (you can make at least 5-10 good backlinks this way). install relevant CPA from CJ and adsense. let your friends know about your blog use twitter and facebook to share your post whenever you add new posts to your website. after a few weeks you will know what you should optimize according to your traffic and the comments from your blog readers! START AND TAKE ACTIONS NOW..

Remember: reading about "how to make money online" won't make you money online without taking any actions. it is very simple just start trial and error didn't kill anyone (yet).

Good luck! (Rep & Thanks won't kill you either ;P)

Content like that really doesn't earn much, especially since the people reading it are generally too smart to go for ads. They'll see right through sharecash or a content locker too.

Generating content is cheap anyway. Try to carve out a niche for yourself in the industry where you can use your computer science and security skills. I got my start with hacking/cracking/carding/phishing/spamming and I never went through one of these low earning "newb" periods.
