Myspace announced startling news earlier this month. The social networking site had been written off last year after Specific Media and Justin Timberlake bought it from News Corp. for a rumored $35 million.

One million new members have joined in the past month, and the rate of signups has risen to 40,000 per day. Credit has been given to the new music player, which is user-friendly and free.

thoughts? can myspace make a comeback.

the site hasn't changed much but they have added new features.

Doubt it but who knows. I guess I'll start spamming again. Thanks for info

As more people join myspace, there is going to be more interest in it. It could overtake facebook,or at least take a huge chunk out of their market size.

This is another reason why it wouldn't be good to invest in facebook, unless you get in and get out with a nice profit.

I never cared that much for Myspace but I think they should change the name to
something better and trendier. A lot of people associate it's current name with a business
that's dead and gone. They could make a big comeback with some changes.

Don't be so quick to get happy people! It's just another site that adds more work to your SEO efforts.

People are becoming dissatisfied with FaceBook and are looking for alternatives. Google's entrance into the social field only lends credence to that thought.

Will they be a success? Only time will tell, but now might not be a bad time to look at them again.
