myspace now has its own ad service that will promote your myspace page for you. be it personal/business/music, they promote on a ppc basis on myspace itself. this sounds like a good solution to get around having to enter captchas for friend adders, if you want to pay for their service. i would like to know some of your thoughts on this for using it for blackhat purposes.

no, thats the right page. you create ads and banners and myspace places them in the targeted area of your choice and when somebody clicks on the banner ad it links back to your myspace profile(music or business)
this is whats listed under pricing:

Your ad views are free! The only time you get charged is if someone clicks on the ad.
You will never be charged more than you enter for your budget!
It's bid based, but the minimum CPC is $.25.

This is the same service they have had for years... your thread implied this is a new service intended to advertise individual myspace profiles, a service like this is not designed to be used in that way (sure it CAN be done, but thats not the intent). This is just the normal banner advertising service that is so common in the online world.

Its not bad if you think about it just need a good niche I'd say don't bother that much advertising to teens as I'm guessing a lot don't have cc's or debit cards to pay for online things

yeah i ran my first ad yesterday, have had a ton of impressions but no conversions yet, we'll see how it plays out
Checked my stats this morning. 395 impressions, one click which cost me a $1 and one conversion which earned me a $36 commission
What I like so far:
no quality score crap
no landing page requirement
no display url requirement
What I don't like so far:
took two days to approve my ad
can't target ad based on profile content (I would love to send traffic to my niche social networking site, but the current demographics are too broad)
I'll create a few more ads this weekend. I created a text ad for the first one, so I need to see how the offer's banner does.
Testing is very important...

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what demographics to target, and narrowing it. Nice work on the conversion, I've had 1 click and no conversions. Any tips?
