I started uploading shorts 2 weeks ago. I'm running 2 shorts channels. I find videos and add commentary on them with my own voice. I edit them, add music and subtitles etc.

Making 1 video takes around 1 hour.

Some of my videos got 2-3 views. My most watched video is at 15k. I'm uploading 1 video per day(I didn't upload 3-4 days due to some reasons).

I'm currently unemployed. I live in a 3rd world country, so working a minimum wage job won't get me anywhere. I thought I could give YT a try since I have tons of free time. BTW it's also helpful to improve my English accent since I use my own voice in videos and I push myself to sound better.

So far my short journey has been interesting and I'm learning new things every time I upload a new video. Youtube has a weird algorithm.

My current stats:

Do you have previous YT experience? If that's not the case, you're having good results, mate! Keep milking that cash flow. Sooner rather than later, you will make more than any minimum wage job, period.

You should copy/paste the strategy or look for content with a similar style to your video that made you those 15k views.

Remember, those who persevere will achieve their goals!

Thanks man. I have no experience in YT before. This is the first time.

How do you find videos/topics to make shorts

are you adding your face in the corner or anything to change the look of the video?

study your best perfomance video and with studying i don't mean open analytics for 30 minutes without doing something of sensate
i mean study for a couple of hours your editing your clips where people lost interest the retention rate the effect the hook and create a list of keypoint
then replicate it

Considering that I couldn't upload for a few days during this period and a few of my videos got 3-4 views, I think I'm doing good. I still keep learning what kind of content to post and still improving my editing skills day by day. Also my accent is also keep getting better since I'm not a native English speaker.

My goal is uploading one video for both my channels daily.

Best of luck with this mate. I haven't personally turned my attention to YT shorts yet, but plan too.

What video editing software (and/or any other tools) are you using?

Making with short videos is possible only if you show face there. Then you will get sponsorships when the channel grows.

My man be smart and do what i tell you and dont depend only on youtube
The videos you create upload also on : titktok ,pinterest ,instagram reels ,facebook reels ,twitter ,bitchute
If you do this you will be relaxed as you will not depend only on youtube
Also dont forget to put the link on bio on all the social media i tell you for people to be able to visit your affiluate link or whatever you need traffic

Everybody starts small, and these results that your achieving is great, just stay consistent and learn more about the platform and the way the algorithm works by observing other channels and also finding discussions in forums like this.

Good luck!

Both of my channels have reached 100k views in total. I've uploaded daily (except 2 days) since my last update. My second channel got only 27 videos so I assume I'm doing well. I think I need to reach at least 100 videos to see some actual results. I'll keep uploading.

My most watched videos stop at 15k. I believe YT will push those videos but I don't know when. So it's important to keep uploading till YT notices me I guess.
