Good Luck. I just wanted to check, How did you manage to get your channel monetized? How long was the process and what SMM did you use? I was going to ask Darkreeves but I see you mention he was a scam. So was not sure if he is lying about monetization.

this is my first update on my YouTube Journey.

since i opened the thread i will start off with stats -

Subs: 2156 (+4)
Videos Upload: 8 (+2)
Monetized: Yes
Total Views: 6,339 views

Subscribers

with the subs it decreases then slowly increases. I am guessing MAYBE the decrease, is the subs that i got from SMM Panel, the subs that i am gaining are fans of my niche. so theirs a good side to that in my opinion.

Videos

at this point, i have stopped uploading "narrated and edited videos" but continuing on with the production of them. at the rate of $468/pm i will continue on getting the videos produced and make a "collection" of this. so my plan right now is to actually make basic compilation videos which goes with my niche and turn them into "filler videos" i will be uploading these everyday and currently have 23 days worth of videos uploaded and scheduled for my channel, i also have a "headline" on the bottom and top of the video on black bars saying "help me get to 10,000 subscribers" "leave a like and subscribe to my channel". my goal is to wait until i have 10,000 subs... in then which i will revert back to my original idea of narrated and super edited videos, where, by then i should have a massive catalog of videos.... which, i can upload, schedule and leave running whilst i do the legwork of marketing. please keep in mind, at this very moment i am not fussed whether i get demonetized or not - i am hardly making anything. if i were to get demonetized then i can re-apply later. I am trying to keep a long-term project with this YT channel being that iv always wanted to do YouTube and also have a passion in the niche that i cover.

Iv also subscribed to Epidemic Sound for all my music + SFX needs so i dont need to spend hours looking for music on YouTube and be paranoid about content ID claims. With Epidemic Sounds IF i were to get a content ID claim id just email them and they will take it off - not an issue. i pay $12/pm i believe on that.

I have VIDIQ Boost thanks to one of the posts i saw here on BHW

MARKETING

iv tried quite a few marketing practices this past week.

i re-done google ads with $12 spend in the past 24hrs because one of my videos matches with a current trending topic that broke news this past week. so $12 got me an extra 800 views

i also used Dr.Reddit on BHW to post a video of mine on sub-reddit with 628k members, this yielded around 290 views in total for a separate video.

Facebook Groups, as per OP, same groups, same results - didn't get much views.

Instagram - 0

Twitter - hardly anything to shout home about

I am looking into Snapchat Ads, will try this out at one point after doing some research and let you guys know what happens - if i go through with it.

Hey man,

1) I used 2x 1hr long videos of playing games console with shitty 240p resolution quality and NO SOUND (after that just follow the steps DarkReeves mentions on his thread)
2) as soon as i touched 1k subs and 4k watch hours i applied for monetization and i waited around 2-3 weeks before i got accepted
3) i used a guy called HAXTOR or something here on BHW, just let him know i sent you to him and explain what you want to do and he will tell you the options. TOP MAN AND TOP SERVICE.

I aint got nothing to hide and i wont be transparent about anything apart from my niche but if i try someones service here on BHW - i will be sure to let everyone know who they are and recommend them

DarkReeves is a scammer, yes he scammed me.
 
Thanks. I appreciate it. Can I use 6x10Minute Clips and Just add them together to make 1 hour or just 1 hour continuous? Also does it cost same to have two 1 hour long videos rather than a single two hours video?

As per the Subs were these organic or botted? I.e do they stay or leave?

Hope you succeed in your niche. Yeah I will defo stay away from that scammer guy.

Im not sure to be honest buddy, id just suggest copying DarkReeves method and getting RAV views and human subs. Contact the SMM Panel i recommended and they can discuss options with you directly. Gl

Not much to talk about really, iv been doing some more research into becoming successful at YouTube.

Iv also gotten the help of a BHW Member called @JamesBond7, he has quite a successful youtube journey and he has kindly accepted to help me grow my channel for one month.

we deleted all my videos from my channel and starting from scratch using his method, which is whitehat. He seems to have been successful over the past few years, judging by his journey thread. So i will let you all know what happens with updates in regards to 007's help.

I also started talking to a member here called @Club Culture where we were sharing our ideas on how to grow channels, he seems to have dissapeared, hope he is well.

regards my current subs etc etc not much to update, keeps going up and down but im still in the 2150's mark, at this moment in time only having 2156 subscribers. same as last time but there were unsubs then subs then unsubs then subs. i seem to be fluctuating on this level as i have been for the past few weeks now, even though i have CTA's on the beginning and end of videos.

I wont be doing any paid ads at the moment, as mentioned, Mr Bond is helping me out to grow the channel so we are using his methods. I am looking forward to seeing the results, as he has major success in his own youtube ventures.

i will update in a few days with any updates.

Instead of spending money at ads, I would pay a YT channel in the same niche for a shoutout in their community post.

Interesting method. I didnt think of that one. Iv wrote it down on my marketing list and will give it a shot!

Cheers mate! Yes the price is very high, i am looking into cheaper alternatives at the moment
