My Youtube "Domination" Method

Since there are so many posts about Youtube Marketing now I figured that I should contribute on the way I am blasting my videos out there.

(Also, I am currently testing with CPA offers to see if Free Ringtones convert better then Jamster Pay Tones, if anyone can tell me at what % they are converting with Paid Tones I would REALLY appreciate it so I can compare to what % I am converting with my Free Ringtones and see if I could make much more money using Paid)

Anyway, when I do things, I like to be brutal, destructive and fast.

Step 1: Download & Convert Videos
I use a tool called Videoget to download and convert flv videos. The thing I love about Videoget is that it automatically downloads, converts, and saves on the fly so you do not have to use multiple programs, it does it all for you. I choose mpeg because thats what seems to work best.

I am assuming that everyone here is trying ringtone offers (boy is this going to become saturated soon *hint hint*) so what I suggest you do is do a google search on the Top Music Videos and just enter in Youtube the names of the videos you find and just have them downloaded and converted in VideoGet

Step 2: Stamp Your Videos

Once you have your Youtube Videos converted you are going to want to watermark your videos. Using the ringtone example again, you can put a message like

Download This Ringone @ www.YourWebsite.com

The program I use to watermark my videos are Watermark Master. The thing I like about Watermark Master is that you can batch process multiple videos at one time, and I like to scale things, so what i do is download and convert a bunch of them in Videoget, choose my settings on how I want to watermark my videos, and run them all through Watermark Master.

I heard about other people using Watermark Factory, for some reason I could not get this software working with Vista but I imagine it being a little bit better then Watermark Master so if you have Windows Vista and have this tool working, please hit me up! Lol

Step 3: Uploading Your Videos

When you upload your video, you are going to want to place good tags for your video. What I do is just type the video I am copying in Youtube and see what other people used for their tags and just copy them and use them for myself. Like I said, I don't like working hard. I also look at what other people use for their titles and using my knowledge of Internet Marketing, I try to make an even more catchier headline. You are also going to want to choose the best thumbnail you can for your video (you can choose from your thumbnails AFTER you uploaded your video) If you want tips on how to optimize the thumbnail simply type in Google How To Choose Youtube Thumbnail or some variation of that text, there are many online videos and tutorials that explain the algorithm youtube uses to choose the thumbnail picture. I don't recommend tricking people with 1/2 naked girls with Music Videos because it's not necessary, just try to choose a good clip for the music video.

Step 4: PIMP Out Your Videos

Now I am going to share with you various methods on how you can get your videos up, going and popular.

I use a Firefox Plugin called ReloadEvery, it's a plugin that will refresh the page every "X" amount of seconds of what you choose. What I do for my new videos is use this to rack up views, after a couple of hundred views however, it seems to stop working effectively (I don't know why) so then I go on to other techniques.

I purchased Tube Automator and after using this I was given honors for multiple of my videos, I also had almost every account I had deleted, lol. What I recommend you do if you use Tube Automator is if you are going to comment, scrap comments from a video that is the same as yours and use those comments to comment your own video. When you do this, your comments are extremely relevant because it's taken from people who commented the same video. The bad thing about mass commenting is that it's obvious though (which is why I think my accounts got deleted so fast) so if you are going to comment your own videos, I suggest using a delay, perhaps then it will look a bit more "real"

I did notice that even though my comments were deleted and accounts, the Ranks that those accounts gave stayed, so I think in order to be more time effective and efficient that I am not going to comment my own videos, just whore em up by ranking them. By doing this, I still get higher up in the channels, and even if my accounts get deleted the rankings stay, so since I am new with Tube Automator, I don't have that much tricks, but ranks always stay even if your profile gets deleted, so keep that in mind. Just remember, when commenting, choose from the same videos that way the comments look extremely real, the only other thing I can suggest is using a delay, otherwise there is going to be like 500 new comments all added under the same hour.

Step 5: Mass Upload Your Videos

There are paid solutions for this like Video Post Robot, but yesterday I found out about a website where you can upload your videos to 12 sites at once. This website is called TubeMogul and it's currently free, so I suggest you take advantage of this to blast your videos before a price is added. I haven't used it yet, but I plan to with my next batch of videos.

Final Notes & Tips

I only wrote this short tutorial to show people that even though I am a fairly inactive member, that I do know a thing or two.

Anyway, you really only need 2 tools to get this going (both of which are free if you know where to look)

So Download VideoGet and copy youtube videos and have them automatically converted, then batch up those videos and have them auto-watermarked with your favorite watermarking tool. All you need to do then is use my Video Optimization suggestions with your Tags (oh yeah I also forgot to say that you are going to want to include your offer website within the 1st 2 lines of your video description, then you can throw up song lyrics or w/e to make it appear more legitimate) and after that just pimp out your videos to rank High using Tube Automator and then can mass-submit your videos just to squeeze out whatever pocket change is left using TubeMogul or a paid alternative like Video Post Robot.

So yeah, if you found this helpful I'd appreciate a rep, I know some information that has been said here has been repeated, but I also included some techniques and strategies that haven't, and these will really help you if you use them correctly.

Also, if anyone can PM me if they got Watermark Factory working on Vista I would appreciate it, I'd also appreciate if someone could tell me their EPC or % of Conversion using Paid Ringtone offers so I can compare it with my Free Ringtone offers and see if I could convert about the same with Paid, just make like 9x more money.

Oh yeah, and one more thing, I feel that ringtones are going to be saturated really quick, so you guys might wanna start brainstorming with new ideas, I know I already got some but I already shared enough secrets

Traffic Geyser's another great tool to syndicate out video content - it's kinda like the software you mentioned above, but costlier and hits more sites as far as I know.

Are the tools you mentioned free or is there a cost associated to them?

Also, what affiliate do you get the ring tone offers from? I have not seen many on clickbank or shareasale.

How much are you guys making off of these? I am just starting to do this with ring tone offers and havn't made shit yet... Im not complaining though as it takes NO time!

Because everybody and their dog on blackhatworld posts threads with exact details on how to do it (or so it seems). I don't have a lot of posts, but I have lurked for awhile.

I'm not saying don't share methods and tips with others...but it seems as if this massive wave of "Here is exactly how I make money on youtube" threads is probably going to ruin this method for everyone.

Awesome info moneymaker. Thank you. By the way, are ringtones just the only offer that is "monetizable" on youtube? Most people cant seem to monetize any other offers. How about the dating, movies for ipods downloadable as podcasts and what nots? Anyone with any idea?

ringtones are gonna get saturated pretty soon, i have seen reports about how to do it it bhw, digitalpoint, wickedfire, warrior forums, etc...

Try to find new ways and offers to promote on youtube, there are a lot of other niches on youtube beside the adult one and the ringtones one- i have some of them which work pretty good, unfortunately i can not give them out.

Thanks for the thread Ray, if you want to fix the refresh thing to work much more, not only several hundred views, then you gotta use proxy -good proxy- when you refresh the page, after a certain period.

Hey Ive tried using this technique not long ago, the plugin together with Tor in order to change IP's so that the counts would count the new entries but for some reason it does not???

Could you share a bit more about it??? PLEASE...

I, too, like adding the song's lyrics to the video's description, and adding "+ Lyrics" to the title of every video as well. It seems to draw in some extra views.

And no, asking for rep for a well thought out and original post isn't against the rules in any way. Hell, that's what the system was created for!

And I agree with Nick, ringtones are going to get saturated pretty quick (if not already), considering that every forum out there now has a thread with step-by-step instructions on how to monetize ringtones w/music vidoes on YouTube. You're just going to have to get a little creative and use your imagination

Props to you Ray, lots of helpful (and not mentioned elsewhere) advice here.

Someone mentioned traffic geyser, I gave it a try (only a buck for the first 14 days, but then it goes to a hundred a month) and did NOT get results.

I'm no dummy to this stuff, I took the time to target keyword phrases that were pretty low, and submitted over 15 videos. My results were pretty dismal. It seems like you really need to either be lucky or use some of the other tools mentioned on here if you are going to get results.

I cannot say what "real views" I get because like I said I faked some of my views, however I did upload a new video yesterday (not a music video or anything, infact a very cheap home-made Windows Movie Maker one) and I got 83 views since last night and my thumbnail sucks horribly (I am going to continue with this method just try to get a better thumbnail). I can thank this success because of Tube Automator though, except my accounts are always getting deleted, which is okay, I may start outsourcing youtube account creation.

With ringtones to be honest, haven't made that much, this is why I am exploring new ideas with it which I am pretty sure will be 100% more profitable.

No, ringtones aren't the only ones. If there is a niche, a video can be made and a watermarked URL can be placed with an affiliate program.

I was trying to think my way through this "saturation" thing a bit, and I am wondering if saturation is really a problem? Reason I say this is, if you are using tube automator or some other method to gain ranking and popularity - which translates into views...then aren't you directly or even indirectly targeting traffic to YOUR video?

And, if that is the case, then, they see your video, and therefore, see YOUR affiliate link to the ring tone offer, before any other, right?

Don't get me wrong, I do understand that people are adding ringtone links and watermarks left and right on videos. It's just that those videos have got to get seen, and get popular, in order for that viral effect to happen, at least on youtube. Otherwise, you are getting a few hundred views maybe, and thats it.

Seems to me the saturation issue is in the videos themselves, not the link or the affiliate program type you are running. And that video saturation was a problem long before people decided to start adding ringtone offers on their videos. Seems to me that the strategy of getting the most views is still very valid, no matter how many videos you are competing with - your either in it to win it, or your not. Simple as that.

Case in point: Someone sees your video in the most discussed, highest ranked, etc...list on youtube. They click on your video. They see YOUR Offer. No other offer, just yours. They can either leave, or click on your offer. If they choose NOT to click on you offer, and go see another video, then most likely they were not going to click on your link, and buy from you anyway, right? Why? Because you lured them in with a music video, not a ringtone offer. They came for the video. Not the offer. The offer was there to appease their compulsion to click on something, or buy something, or explore something. This is basically why I don't think saturation is the concern that some might think it would be. But hey - I could be wrong...

But then again - with BILLIONS of cellphones in use, and most of them in the hands of teens and young adults who love ringtones....I could be not so wrong.....lol

I do agree with expanding your efforts into other niches, if for no other reason than the mere fact they are there to be exploited, especially on Youtube. Can anyone name a niche that doesnt have a video out there somewhere on youtube that we can exploit?

tenro1, the problem is if people keep seeing videos with watermarked ringtones, they'll know the gimmick already and not even bother, rather them never being exposed to that type of marketing and actually "falling" for it.

You will get views as long as u can get your video ranked, but why not take advantage of other affiliate programs just so you can make money with less hassle? Music videos will probably start becoming competitive and if it becomes a huge threat youtube will probably start throwing in changes to counter them.

Anyway, note that alot of your traffic for ringtones is USA only which leaves out all the other views, so you may want to keep that in mind.
