Hi Guys,

I've been quite curios as to the results of doing a small blast of a pretty new hub I created on Hubpages.

When I blasted it with about 5000 profile links trying to rank for two keywords.

Both keywords have just under 300,000 competing pages and each with about 20,000 Broad Global Monthly Searches.

So just thought I would share some of the results.

Pre Blast:

Keyword 1 = Bottom of Page 3
Keyword 2 = 3rd on Page 4

Day 1

Keyword 1 = 4th on Page 4 - Position 35
Keyword 2 = >1000

Day 2

Keyword 1 = 3rd on Page 4 - Position 29
Keyword 2 = >1000

Day 3

Keyword 1 = 10th on Page 1 - Position 10
Keyword 2 = Page 159

Hopefully both will continue to rise.

Great results on keyword 1. The Google dance can be weird. I would suspect though that Keyword 2 would continue to rise. With just 5,000 profile links, you could do a second blast in a week to help cement your position.

Are you letting Google discover the links or are you doing something to get the links indexed quicker like putting them in an RSS feed? I would let Google discover the links naturally.

Again great results. Very interesting post. It would be cool to see if your keywords continue to climb.

No I am not speeding up the process of google finding the links. All natural.
 
Day 4

Keyword 1 = 10th on Page 1 - Position 10 (No change)
Keyword 2 = Page 158 (1 Page better)

Great to see your second keyword really starting to move up.

For your first keyword, competition is always heaviest on the first page, so it may take more links focused on your first keyword to see additional movement, though I would give it a little more time.

Thanks for keeping us updated. It is cool to see real results and real numbers.
 
Nice work. Good to hear your getting results.
By the way, what is the exact match monthly volume of searches for your keywords?
 
Day 6

Keyword 1 = 10th on Page 1 - Position 10 (Still No change)
Keyword 2 = Page 62 (No Change)

Keyword 1 exact searches = around 5,000
Same with keyword 2.
 
Day 7

Keyword 1 = 10th on Page 1 - Position 10 (Still No change)
Keyword 2 = Page 59 (3 pages Better)

Due to changes becoming less and less frequent, I'll update every few days or only once a week.
 
I think everyone got the idea lol.. get building some more hubs or links
 
So have you just sent 5000 links one time to your hubpage?
Maybe you should send much more and see what happens as it appears your ranking has hit a brick wall.
 
Give it another blast of 5K and also blast all those links so as to empower them.
