Today I woke up to this message on X: "Your account is suspended and is not permitted to perform this action." Is there still any chance to recover it, or should I just make another one?

You may try to appeal, but in general the support service of those social media sucks. What did you do to get banned on X?

I’ve given multiple retweets recently from various projects, that’s all.

I’ll try to make an appeal today… maybe I’ll get lucky.

What is the reason? Check your email and find out the reason and appeal, my personal account was suspended for 3 years, and I was able to recover it

Best thing to do is appeal. As mentioned already, this is neither a smooth process or guaranteed and you may have to do several back and forths before it really goes anywhere. If you can't be bothered and it's not permanent, you could just wait it out though. Not a lot of brilliant news there.

It depends on the reason for the suspension. Check your email or X support for details. If it’s a temporary suspension, you might be able to appeal. If it's a permaban, it's usually better to just create a new account with fresh details.

Could be a glitch, but if they’re strict this time, a new account with different settings could work better.

Depends on the suspension type honestly. Some are pure automation hits, others go through deeper review/escalation layers internally.

Most people only know about normal appeals, but there are different internal review portals/escalation paths depending on how the account was flagged and the severity behind it.
