hi, i run a website for press release distribution based in wordpress, today i logged into the admin panel and to my surprise all my posts are deleted now, i dont know how it did happened, until yesterday it was fine, and i have not installed updated anything, there was appx 2k posts, i am totally crapped now.

can any one suggest what might have happened to my site.

Go into your panel and restore your back up. What ever server you use they should keep a back up for you just in case

First just go and restore your website to any earlier time that you possibly have and have it back up and running and take it from there.

It might be various things, contact your hosting provider, check with them if they have any thoughts/can do a virus scan or something and then check things by yourself. Update site/themes/plugins strengthen overall security and delete ALL unnecessary plugins/themes.

Sure I can, and my suggestion will be very simple. Don't use so-called nulled warez (themes, plugins etc) on your site and you will be ok.

were you using any theme downloaded from those warez sites? They usually have call backs etc. and can get access to your website. Also install some plugin which keeps making backups every week or so (depending on how fast your website grows).

Contact your hosting provider as they have back up and hire someone to inspect your website for malicious code.
