I have started a new website to promote some products, so I add descriptions and photos from my merchant's website (copy/paste) to create pages for public reviews.

My question is:

Will that affect negatively my website ranking in search engines?

And what if visitors add reviews to these pages? will that make G00gle deal with these pages as original content while the product description is not?

What do you suggest guys?

It probably will be negatively affected. Try rewriting the content or at least adding unique snippets.

Reviews will help as long as they are unique.

Original content is important cause google try to make SERP page most valuable to the end user, so if you copypaste content - it has a little to none value and will be eventually removed from SERPs page.

If they are a lot of product descriptions and you can't (or don't want to) transcribe them, at least try to use a spinner.

It's not bad, it's worse than anything that you can think of. Your chances of success is now similar to someone who never has had a website online and still dreams of raking in big profit in online sales.

It's is very bad, you should change your descrption and make new one for each product.

Better to create your own for your products instead of copying others. Your product description is the content that will be shown on the top of the page which includes your keyword. Try to make it concise and comparable.

THIS.

Rewrite the descriptions or don't do it at all.

End of thread.

Adding fresh content will help to boost your site. If you can not write it yourself, pay someone to do it for you.

Yes, it's bad. Google looks for unique and quality contents only. Try to use unique content. Or rewrite the description.

Yes. It will affect your SEO

My suggestion - Get a WordAI account using a group-buy. Will cost you about $5/m
Just put the content and get the super-unique spin (this one passes Copyscape)

Easier than having to rewrite the description yourself.
