My website removed from Google Search due to DMCA

Hello,

Recently I got a Notice of DMCA removal from Google Search and my homepage URL removed from the search.
Inner page URLs are fine only the home page has been removed. I think it happened because I included a downloadable file in the homepage.
After that notice, I removed the downloadable file and sent a Counter-notification to google.

Is there anything that I can do to re-index my homepage URL??

or should I wait for Google to respond to my counter notification?

You're better off just waiting for Google to respond. You don't want to do anything shady while they're inspecting your site. Just my 2 cents.
