Hi, i owned a website for 1 month and today from one moment to the other all my keywords that were on 1st page disapeared and got down until i cant find them.

The site is still indexed by google but all my keywords disapear from 1st page.

I've been doing 2.0 to rank my keywords and send tier 3 links to it. What hapenned? Did i get hit by penguin?

Maybe. Sites are still shuffling though, there's two other recent threads about this going on right now too.

I know i've been dancing around this last 3 days but today all my keywords got ranked down and it has been more than 12h.

Chill out! It's a new site. It's normal.

You said they were on the 1st page at one point, are you absolutely sure you were not seeing personalised results?

Not personalised results :)
I've been working hard to rank the site and got some nice backlinks that's why i was able to rank the keywords in 2-3 weeks.

It's my first experience with SEO so i dont really know if i got hit by penguin or it's just part of the game and i need just to wait and relax.

A lot of times new sites jump up early then go back down after some time, then you need to bring it back up where it should stabalize unless you get a penalty or get some links devalued.

It could be a dance, try some social signals, retweets, reposts, etc and it could recover in time.

Yup. Like others mentioned already, I would not trust results that change from one day to the other. Dances usually take 3-4 days to complete. In case they still are showing at the changed positions next week, then you can look at what might have done the deed. Just sit back till then :)

Maybe you have been hit, maybe not. Pay a close attention to the movement, if after like 5 days, it's still thesame, then start digging on what went wrong.

I think there has just been some kind of update, i've lost nearly all my traffic since last night.

Don't expect your rankings to remain solid for the first few months of your sites life.

Your link profile is not diverse enough,I would say you got hit by penguin because your link profile is not diverse enough. All web 2's as links ain't good.I'd be looking to get some high pr comments ,wikis and decent bookmarks as well. It'll be a little while before the dust settles so no solid conclusion can be made right now but from what you written your link profile needs work.
Don't stop building links just made them different, focus on a few high pr links a day rather a creating more web 2's.

Sounds like a low comp niche.

Use serpbook AND a free serp reporter like serpfox. Why 2 ,well server location can affect the results depending on the keyword.Using 2 rank checkers will give an average.Neevr check site ranking from your own PC to easy to get misleading results.
Even a site like seocentro.com will give a rough idea of your position for a keyword for free,I find it quite accurate.if it is a local keyword you need a server in the same area to get the most accurate results.

I have a couple money sites that were also hit late last night. Seems like alot of people got hit too

:smash:

I have had new sites get what I call a honeymoon with Google where for the first few weeks they rank well, then drop down and settle into place. Happened on two of my sites and I had to build up from the low point where others it did not happen to.

Don't know what triggers it, and I have seen this happen on other sites too. I often see copmpetitors new sites pop into the top ten and drop back out.

It's another fuckin stupid updated. I got hit as well. Had a site bringing in over 2k visitors a day and another site with 20k pages indexed gone to zero over night.

hey im new to SEO how do you tell if your site was hit? just by your site dropping rank or is there more to it?
