for 20 yrs its the same, the r ise n fall, the updates and the bottom falls out
google has been doing this for years , as always it will settle out the google dance

Well, I'm ready to assist you in this, But i need your input in this case.

What is your website about (niche/topic)?
Did you receive a manual action notice from Google, or is this purely algorithmic ?
Have you done any link-building in the past?
Have you made any major content or structural changes recently?
Are there any signs of AI generated or duplicate content on your site?

These details will help for us to give recovery advice for your situation.

It takes time and cleanup, but yes, a number of websites impacted by the August spam update have recovered. Prioritize eliminating spammy or low-quality content, avoiding harmful backlinks, and enhancing E-E-A-T signals (author transparency, experience, and expertise). Additionally, make sure your site's internal links and structure are clear, and update or combine thin pages. Recovery typically occurs following the subsequent spam or core update.

Check your traffic sources

Open Google Search Console (GSC) → Performance → Search results

Compare July vs. September data.

Check if impressions or clicks dropped for specific pages, countries, or keywords

Do a complete audit of the website.
Check if you have bad-quality backlinks. Review your content and see if there are any changes required.
Disavow poor backlinks and do proper internal linking

Focus on removing thin or spammy content and rebuild trust with few good Backlinks.

Also, check Google Search Console to see which articles have dropped in ranking.

I just launched a website that is getting nearly 100 visits a day, compared to 0, 8 months ago. The only difference between this and other sites i have done, is this is not a blog, and its interactive. We are living in the golden age of human creativity and pioneering. Yo azz better not say "I have just a wordpress blog with ai articles!" lol that was maybe relevant up to 3 years ago. But not now. If you have a website, and its a blog, i can bet its trash. Yeah your a nice person, and a great son or brother whatever. But if your traffic is going down, your site is trash, or becoming trash. It needs a complete rethink, and or repurpose. Google has more data than you can even know about what goes into its decisions, and if your site isn't worth a toss, it'll get the toss! lol

compare queries and pages in GSC (july vs sept) to see exactly where and why the drop happened.

Alright, the reason for this is that Google’s systems have flagged your site for unnatural link activity, low-quality backlinks, and content issues. These are weak trust signals, especially in a YMYL niche.

To fix this, you need to conduct a complete backlink audit and remove toxic links, rebuild the content from scratch to ensure it’s helpful and human-first, strengthen your expertise signals, and stop all artificial link-building practices.

If you address these three core areas links, content, and E-E-A-T you can realistically expect to recover within 2–3 months, depending on how quickly Google reevaluates your site during the next core or spam update.

Same here — one of my sites also dropped after the August update.
I’d suggest reviewing your content for EEAT signals and trimming any thin or outdated pages.
Adding more original info, improving internal linking, and cleaning up low-quality backlinks helped me recover a bit over time.

Same thing happened to one of my sites after August spam update. Traffic dropped almost overnight, even though nothing major changed. What I did was go through my backlinks and disavow a few spammy ones that looked unnatural.

I also updated old articles, added author bios, and made sure my content clearly showed real experience (E-E-A-T).

For example, one of my product review page had thin content, so I rewrote it with personal insights and photos. That alone helped it climb back a few spots. It's slow, but after a few weeks, impressions started improving.

As per your point of view, after working on the contents, it scales your impressions, rankings, and growth

May I know, in the meantime, have you done any promotions for that product, or have you analyzed the data of that product

I would like to know the method of the content structure you followed to improve the results
