My website doesn't display www

I am using mybb and i edited it to display www but it now showing unless i type it. i am wondering if there is any trick . I noticed this on other mybb forums too

Redirect non-www to www?

It must show HTTP at the start and that's the issue.
WWW is not any issue for you and you must have to be comfortable with it.

After trying the trick from siteground it still not showing http or www except now when i click on the logo it shows www and when i try to login it just redirects me back to home page without signing in

Are you using Chrome or Firefox? They autohide parts of urls.

Make sure to add both versions, www and non-www to google webmaster tools to avoid duplicate content

After that just redirect non-www to www version

You should also be able to choose primary version somewhere in cPanel, I don't really know where by heart

tried opera and chrome still the same

tried it from cpanel but got this error
The system failed to add the redirect because of the following errors:
Redirecting "" to "http://www.domain.com/" will cause a redirection loop because "http://domain.com/", which is located at "/home3/name/public_html/", is above "http://www.domain.com/", which is located at "/home3/name/public_html/" .

Why would you add www to non-www redirection if you already set non-www to redirect to www?

If you want previous redirection removed just delete lines added to .htaccess.

i reinstalled the website and now it fixed
