Have you ever experienced a sudden drop in views where everything seems to be the same? What were the first things you checked off to troubleshoot the issue?

Yeah, I’d first compare impressions vs. CTR, then check average view duration and traffic sources against the period before the drop. I’d also look at whether the drop is across the whole channel or just specific videos, and check for any changes in audience, search demand, or YouTube Studio notifications. That usually helps narrow down whether it’s a content issue, traffic shift, or just normal recommendation fluctuation.

I feel like everyone who makes youtube videos has to go through something similar. I've read quite a few questions like this, and I usually check the guidelines to see if I've been penalized. Youtube often restricts engagement, so videos that violate the rules are a big problem.

Yes i had this happen too. i usually check analytics for traffic source changes recent content performance retention and any policy/restriction notices first.

yeah traffic sources first is right. these cliff drops are almost always browse traffic dying overnight, search never falls off a cliff like that

Audience shifts can explain sudden drops content can stay the same while distribution moves elsewhere
