My Twitter Journey

I also had a followback rate of about 10 percent for a while. I recently made some changes and now I am getting about 250 to 300 followbacks per 1,000 follows. It has a lot to do with the accounts you choose to follow from.

Also, I don't think the number of bots is very high. My engagement, impressions and clickthroughs are all increasing at a pretty good rate, so in general I think my followers are actual humans.

That's good news. I'm going to switch up my methods this week and I definitely need to gather content. Funny how jamie3000 was warning me earlier. one of my accounts got locked yesterday. Hasn't tweeted since early March but wasn't tweeting spam links either. I'm considering taking a huge hit on follower growth this week if it means I can scrape almost a month's worth of tweetable content on each account.

The Twitter guide that Eddie123 posted in 2013 still seems to work. At that point he advised that it was crucial to tweet at least five times a day on each account -- so that's what I do.

Also I noticed that you are following and unfollowing on different days. I don't see the purpose in that. I know that doing both on the same day can be an issue with Instagram, but as far as I know it's not a problem on Twitter. I have been doing both every day for quite a few months.

Thanks for the advice.

I usually have an update every week, but unfortunately I have no updates to share this week. I've been dealing with mid terms (exams) and I've had to work more to cover someone's shift, so I've been extremely busy

I can guess that I've gained 2,000 followers over the entire week. I haven't been running my software out of fear of getting my accounts suspended...the reason I fear suspension is because many of my pages haven't even tweeted in 2 weeks or more and when I booted FL up yesterday 4 of my accounts were locked. I definitely expect to make much better progress in the coming weeks but I'll be on a mission to gather content like I said previously so that I can auto-pilot the entire process for another month or 2

Would you mind detailing how you do this, I've got 3 twitter accounts, all genuine. I don't have time to tweet on them all just focusing on one. When I started I was getting a 100+ followers a day, recently it's stagnated, people follow then unfollow even though I'm not spamming, try and provide valuable content/tweets. I've completed a few Udemy twitter courses and read a few books but much of the information is out of date and doesn't work. How are you managing to get so many followers, I can barely manage 50 a day, getting sick of it going up and down everyday even though I'm putting time and effort in to it. For the past few weeks it's been stuck between 1200 and 1300

Thanks Adam

Follow/Unfollow works perfectly fine for me to grow the accounts.

Thanks for the reply

What software or tool do you use to unfollow and is their a strategy you use? I tried using manageflitter free version (paid version is a vit steep at $12 a month), but it doesn't show how long I've been following the user. Also it says you can't follow someone you've unfollowed or I could get a twitter ban because twitter is clamping down heavily on 'churners' and I have no idea of who I've followed and unfollowed. I'm in it for the long haul and working on building an authority site so don't want to risk getting my associated twitter account banned. Sorry but I'm still quite a noob. Any recommendations on any up to date twitter courses I can study that is kept updated. Almost everything I find through various sources is out of date

Rather than follow by location, by keyword, or from when someone was last active... follow from the fastest growing accounts in your niche. If an account has 10,000 followers 1 day and 10,500 a week later it's not a fast growing account. If it has 10,000 followers one day and a week later it has 17,000..it's growing at a rate of 1.000 a day. That's a good account to follow from.

You've lost me a bit their bro, one of them is a personal account where I hardly post, the other I'm not focusing on much but they have less than a 100 followers. The one account I am working heavily on only has a total of 1200 followers approx and it's taken me 2 months to build that up. It gains and loses about 30 to 60 followers a day, so it's going neither up or down. It's not going up by a thousand, I don't yet know how you guys on here do that gain followers by the thousands.

Dont spam your followers with tweets
Follow 1,000/day if you can
Unfollow every 2-3 days
Follow relevant ppl that'll engage with ur shit and followback

You need 2 follow 2 get followbacks

If you're not following 5,000+ weekly you'll get nowhere

If your account is new follow half of that amount weekly

Hang out on this forum for a while and I guarantee that you'll learn more about Twitter than any Udemy course could ever dream about teaching.

It is a brilliant forum, what other good forum do you folks recommend, I'm also on warrior forum and going to join digital point

Honestly, if Twitter is your thing, I haven't found any other forum except this one to be of any value.

Everywhere else that I'm aware of, you just get the standard "politically correct" advice: post great content, interact with your followers, etc. Well, that's nice, but it's not going to get you 100,000 followers, or even 10,000. I'd recommend you read Wizard's journey thread from beginning to end.

If you buy a software's unlimited license you'll make more than your money back if you manage a few accounts. Again, post great content, follow daily, follow from your niche etc. You could sell tweets, sell traffic, or manage someone else's social media profile.

It's not a quick flip. It's a journey and it'll take time. But all this value you provide is necessary in order to make a profit in the future

How much do you think Twitter traffic can be sold for, per 1,000 visits? And how would you go about finding clients?

I've been slacking on the updates and on the project due to spring break/mid terms over the last 2 weeks...so here's an update for the last 2 weeks

Day 42: 52,921
Day 56: 62,000~(+9,000~)

Not much to include in this update. When I reach 100,000 I plan to monetize...progress isn't coming as fast as I expected due to this project taking a back seat for the past 2 weeks...and I also can't manage to scrape tweets/pics fast enough to provide content on all of my accounts on a consistent basic..5 tweets a day for 20 accounts for 30 days is a hell of a task...

anyone know any scrapers that also scrape the images from tweets? Because that'd be insanely clutch right now

Day 56: 62,000~
Day 63: 68,710(+6,710)

Gained almost 7k this week, which is actually a decent number because my software was down for 2 days. Not only that, I'm starting to realize FL becomes buggy after you leave it open for a couple of weeks. It's crucial to update it, close it, re-open and monitor your accounts DAILY. I found that certain accounts were supposed to follow 750+ daily and were following only 200-500 on most days. In fact most of my accounts barely even gained 200 followers this week, but my bigger pages are growing at a pretty good rate and because of this, 3 of my accounts finally reached the 10k followers milestone. They're growing by 100+ daily whereas my smaller accounts are lucky to grow by 75 in a day.

2 MONTH SUMMARY:

- Gained 24,000+ followers
- Overcame several issues with FL/accounts being 'limited' (new twitter algorithm?)
- 3 accounts hit the 10,000 followers mark, each account seems to gain more organic followers
- More than happy with the results considering 2 of these past 5 weeks were mid terms/spring break and I went at least 5-7 days this month without even running FL

I've already been accepted into some CPA networks but now I'm considering long-term growth for long-term money...so no churning and burning. Instead I'll focus on making each account as reputable and popular as possible, so that they can each gain organically. This time next year I expect each account to have 20,000+ followers.. Which means 400,000+ followers overall. I'll also keep adding pages in order to scale up, once I have so much content to tweet that I won't have to check on my pages for weeks. That's the point I know I'll be able to handle more accounts, therefore I'll keep scaling and scaling. For now, 20 QUALITY accounts that post regularly is a chore. But it's fun seeing them grow.
