I'm thinking of creating a full tutorial of what I'm doing, including how to build the Twitter following for the traffic.

This would be a PDF and prob a video or two. I'd make this freely available to everyone on BHW (via the members download section).

Before I do, just wondering if anyone would be interested enough to actually make it worth while for me to do.

You can PM me, a quick reply or drop a thanks at the bottom of this post so I get a rough idea of the interest.

It will be a 100% complete tutorial fro A to Z with nothing left out and so that even a newb can use it but I'll also include every trick and tip I know and use.

for all those that have mentioned duplicate content causing google bans on either adsense or getting deindexed or slapped etc i would just like to say its absolute bollox...i have an autoblog that is almost all dupe content it is getting around 300 uv every hour is indexed by google news (hense the traffic) and has never been slapped, banned what ever...i even told google it was an aggregate when i applied for g news and they even mentioned it in their follow on emails
 
if your site looks like a shitty spammy site then sure your asking for a ban but if you make the effort and it is really just a little effort on your part...to make the site look good appear natural(ish) instead of a blog that may aswell have a big f$5king sign pointing to the adsense ads saying click here... then you have nothing to worry about. Aim for an authority autoblog and you will be fine

Yahoo pipes or a plugin?

I use the WP Robot plugin for all of the content as it seems to do everything (pretty much).

110% agree with that. You only have to worry when you throw up crap with very little work. Auto blogs do require some time to set up properly but when they are set up then they require vrey little work to maintain.

They are auto-blogs - 'auto' as they take care of themselves AFTER you have set them up - NOT, 'auto' because the set themselves up.
 
@shezboy What theme do you use and do you make a custom background for your Twitter account? Not sure if I should pimp this stuff out or just keep it simple. Thanks

I use any theme that I like the look of but I don't go overboard. Themes can be changed with a couple of clicks. As for my Twitter accounts... The sports themed ones have custom bakgrounds although for the iPod one I searched for a cool iPod related pic for the thumbnail image for the account and chose a plain background color for the rest of the page.

It is totally your call how far you want to take this part of things - the more you put in then the more you'll get out of it. I never really pimp any of my blog themes and the sports blogs theme is a plain generic one but looks nice.

The theme is called "stripey"

No problem.. Well I have been playing around with the wp robot deal... I like it,but I cannot get the link cloak function to work. Seems like it is easier than using CC.

Do you translate the post? I have wp unique not sure if that is good enough.
 
After you have chosen to cloak your links you need to go to the general settings of your blog, choose 'permalinks' option and then the "custom" option.

I don't know how your permalinks are currently set up but I have mine set up using

%category%/%postname%/

and then choose save. That will update your .htaccess file which is what is needed to make the 'cloaked links' option work in WP Robot.

When you chose the option in WP Robot a message should have appeared with instructions on what you need to do to make the 'cloaked links' work.
 
yeah, I tried that . I went into my htaccess file and moved the WP robot stuff to the top , saved it and uploaded it again. But when I go to the wp robot options page and hit save at the bottom. It throws the additional steps needed message again. So not sure if that is how it works in the version that I have. Unless its somehow cache'd in the browser.

Hi, yeah, even when you made the changes that it mentions it will always throw up that message just to be on the safe side.

PDF version? You mean the PDF tutorial that I said I was going to add to here about my auto-blog method?

No, not yet, still writing it. Although I am willing to take bets, even now, that it will end up as a product being sold on DP by some low life lazy arse git who can't think for themselves and want to rip others off.
