Yeah at this time the only way is manually ranking using a method russ has mentioned on another thread or just going whitehat, smm's just are not worth it right now unless your video is like 30 seconds or a minute long , even then subscriber engagement is the most important thing for your brand new uploads. if you can find a smm that will use the same accounts to sub to you, watch your video, like your video and comment on your video, then youre golden, but without that youre just getting random views from random bots that may or may not be subbed to you, that watch ppl in completely different niches as you. Its not a good sign to the algorithm, at this point my views are only ads based ($5 a day method + channel trailers) and manual engagement from my mobile devices, its not as quick and effortless as smm's of course but i can atleast upload without worrying about drops and bad analytics all the time

Its possible, its not easy, it takes time but its possible, but the harder the keyword the more difficult and time consuming it will be to get it ranking, if you have 100 accounts that are subscribed to you, watvh your videos 100% like and comment thats very good signs to get the video pushed, but if youre trying to rank on a over saturated keyword its a uphill battle. of course 500 works even better and 1000 even more but at that point unless you run a click farm and have 50+ running mobile devices itll be difficult, im going to be trying out using proxies on a android emulator via pc so that could be a faster way of doing things but its unproven right now

for the old account, i published a video, first hour it got 500 views (75% from browse features, 22% from notifications). roughly 2.5k impressions during the first hour, CTR around 1.5 - which would mean about 38 views from impressions (which is also what youtube says).

but since i got 500 views during the first hour and 75% of them (about 375 views) came from browse features, why does youtube credit only 38 as coming from impressions? where did the rest of browse feature views come from if not from impressions?

aren't views from browse features coming from impressions? don't people click on a thumbnail (from the home feed, subscribe feed, search, etc) to view the video? why aren't these all counted as clicks?

to test this further, we tried the brand new account and asked 20 friends to help out. asked 10 people to subscribe to the channel and the other 10 not to subscribe. they all have aged accounts, logged in from their own mobile devices (using the mobile app), using different ips.

i published a new video with the brand new account - the 10 people who subscribed to the channel got the video in their home feed (so it was definitely an impression for each one) and clicked on it. also asked the 10 people who did not subscribe to use the search and find the video and click on it - and so they did.

so we should have 20 impressions and 20 views - with 100% CTR

but to my surprise, even after 48 hrs, these were the stats

views : 21
impressions : 6
CTR: 0%
views from impressions : 0

So what the heck? can someone tell me what's going on?

I think the definition of a "click-through view" is only if the impression was generated AND the viewer clicked the video. It's possible to go to browse features without leaving an impression and thus they may have clicked it from there. Did you buy those views or were they organic?

so think about that
