Hi everyone,

I really need some help from experienced members here.

My telegram account was frozen 3 days ago. Currently showing the reason- "Your account was frozen for violating Telegram’s Terms of Service"

The issue is, I wasn’t doing anything suspicious. I had some personal issues and was busy for a few days. When I came back and opened telegram, I saw that my account was already frozen.

Here is some details:
- I created account around 2021, used for around 2 years then stopped using.
- Reinstalled and started using in 2025
- Linked phone number is still active.
- From 2025, I only used this account to chat with my clients, as I'm digital products seller here.
- Never done spamming, botting or mass DM.

Although, I submitted an appeal via 'spambot', but it got denied.

This account is important one for me, as a lot of clients are connected with me there. If anyone knows a way to handle this, I'd really appreciate your help/advice.

Thank you!

This rarely has any effect + their support is pretty much non-existent. You’re much better off with taking this one in the chin and creating a new account. I’ve had issues with generating accounts that had switched IPs in a short timeframe, some of which also ended up getting “frozen”.

this happens even without spam sometimes
old accounts that go inactive then come back get flagged

only real option is appeal again from a different device and wait

Yeah I think you just gotta move on unfortunately

Try this option https://telegram.org/support and also send an email to recover at telegram.org (or support at telegram.org), with a detailed explanation, do also mention the respective phone number in international format (e.g., +1...).

I agree. Tried again, got no response.

Thanks for your advice.

Yes, I appealed again and waiting for their response.

Yeah, I'm still trying but don't have any hope.

I tried this option yesterday, but still got no response from them.

Your account was likely flagged by an automated system for inactivity followed by sudden commercial activity, which can appear bot-like. The standard appeal via @spambot is often ineffective. Try emailing [email protected] with a clear explanation of your legitimate use case and offer to verify your identity. Having a verified premium subscription may also increase appeal priority, but success is not guaranteed.

There’s a very low chance that account will be recovered so it’s better to move on.

Next time, buy an NFT username, even if the account is lost, customers can still find you through that username.

Have you received any warning or rule-violation message from Telegram? Is there any mention of how long the account will be frozen?

I have heard about this issue, and I also faced a similar problem. However, when I appealed through the Telegram Spam Bot, the issue was resolved.

In your case, since you are not getting a solution through the appeal, I believe you may have received some message from Telegram. Please check it carefully, it may help you recover your account faster.

You must had added some groups which violate the TOS.

Okay, I'll try this method. Thanks for your advice

I was unaware of NFT usernames on Tg, thanks for letting me know. Will surely invest in them.

No prior warning received. I've attached screenshot, please have a look

No groups/channels are joined with this account. Only BHW members on TG are connected with this account.

Yes, I tried contacting support, no result yet. The account is logged in from single device, my phone.

There’s very little chance the account can be recovered, so it’s better to move on — this can even happen without spam, as old inactive accounts that suddenly reactivate often get flagged. For the future, consider buying an NFT username so people can still find you even if the account is lost. Right now, your only real option is to appeal again from a different device and wait.

Do you have any contact lists or anything related to this particular account?
Thanks,
JB

This usually happens with old inactive accounts that get reused, especially for business use. Even without spam, Telegram’s system can auto-flag it.

If SpamBot already rejected the appeal, recovery chances are low. You can try emailing Telegram support, but it rarely works.

Best move is to create a new account and shift clients over so you’re not stuck again.

This usually happens after long inactivity + sudden reuse, especially for seller accounts. In many cases the first appeal gets auto-denied. What worked for some people is waiting a few days and appealing again with a very short, calm message, clearly stating it’s a personal/business account and no automation was used. Also make sure you’re appealing from the same device/IP you normally used. Sadly, there’s no guaranteed fix, but patience and repeated clean appeals sometimes work.

yes, the account is still accessible in read-only mode. I can give you more info via pm, if you can help. Thank you!

Yes, I did multiple appeals, but not getting any response. I'm still trying, although not much hope left.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm doing repeated appeals, waiting to hear back from them.
