Google will probably fart out another zoo animal in the near future or refresh a previous fart to add aroma to the web.
Too bad Google screwed up all the stuff with backlinks without FIRST having a reliable signal of quality. That's why so many shitty sites are not only ranking good, but have 3, 4 or even 5 listings in a row on the first page of the SERPS.
Although I typically avoid getting no follow links, as those come in naturally by webmasters that naturally link in such a way to retain PR, they don't hurt. Anchor text and IP diversity is always good. And who knows, with all the changes going on a no follow link may become as valuable as a do follow link in the near future. Bing may become a leader in search too, as all of Google's "manual" actions makes them move closer to becoming a directory then an algorithmically driven engine.
It's just hard to tell how much search quality Google is willing to sacrifice in its war against "unnatural" links. Google has already lost a lot in terms of SERPS quality if you ask me.
Panda, Penguin, PR exports, refreshes, etc. are all taking place at a time Google is adding more paid listings and verticals to the SERPS. Are all these zoo animals designed to be a decoy for the erosion of organic search? Watch your niches closely! I'm seeing more organic results below the fold. Are you in your niches?
