    Hi,

My site has been dancing in the serps recently, ranking between page 1 and two for one of my main keywords. The thing is on an odd few occassions when i do a search in google for my keyword my site is displayed at number 1 but by the time i refresh the page i am back to my normal position again. It's happend about 3 to 4 times now. What i want to know is how long does Google typically move a site around before it places it in a solid spot and dosen't keep moving it around? My site has been dancing for about 4 weeks plus. I have been getting a lot of link building done to it recently and i also brought a paid SEO service from BHW as well. Any information would be greatly appreciated:)

    Thanks

It's called the google dance, it will calm down in a few days bro. Perfectly normal.

I had a site dance for 3 months. Not sure what causes it but it will stop eventually just keep doing what your doing.

I agree, the dancing will go on for a bit depending on a few factors. I had a site listed in the 23 position, one day it dropped to 98. Then it dropped below 100 and a week later it came back number 5. Just leave it alone and don't do anything until it stops moving.

If you are building backlinks, it will continue to dance.

Well check your back links are indexed by Google or not? manually copy link & past that in Google search box if you see back link is on top than its really nice for your website & if your back links sill show up than you need to index your back links to search engine, after indexing you need wait at least for 7 days result will fix n increase day by day, also your site content is old more 3months than immediately change & write high quality content of site use only 3% density of content.

Dancing takes a little bit of time, can take even weeks if its a new site in progress and links are continually built. 1-2 of spots is pretty normal to fluctuate even in stable rankings - depends what rank checker you use, who are your competitor, are there universal results - like google news, youtube videos, etc.. above you.
