My site is outranked by not-linked forums threads and such

Why that happens? I have ton of contextual backlinks (that are indexed) from valuable and related websites. I dont understand. Is this google sandbox? My domain is on page 2, (sometimes it drops to page 3 then comes back). Domain is half year old and half year in the index. Its well linked but its outranked by forum threads that have no links. I used exact match in url and title. And it wasnt used in forums which i compare to.
