I gradually worked my way up from nowhere in the search results to #1 page on google in just a few short months...which was quite a feat considering I beaten out sites that have been around for years.

Suddenly, I check the google results and it's gone...not page 1, not page 2, not even up to page 12 (and I didn't want to go any further than that)

This is crazy because I've worked my ass off on this site for hours a day and don't want it to go to waste!

The site is www . bodybuildingmotivation . net. I have attached some screenshots to show you the drastic 1 day difference that changed everything. How on earth can one day make a complete difference in my rank?!

I just don't get it. I went from shooting, sky high rankings to virtually NOTHING. This is actually really discouraging and a bit depressing. Someone please help me.

Note: I have all unique content and used no blackhat SEO to rank this site.

Yes. I went from nowhere to be found, to the second page, and then finally the first page towards the bottom. I have a lot of good, unique content on there. From looking at the webmasters screen shot you can see the impressions went up dramatically after doing some general SEO on the pages, and then it drops to nothing.

Even without backlinks I managed to rank, but how is it possible that I can go down to nothing over the course of just one day? I have SeNuke xCr should I use that and will that make a difference?

just could be the google dance give it some time like a week then see were its at could go right back to page 1

BS. I looked at your links, you have TONS of spammy low quality links. Most of them with foreign language anchors. Time to churn and burn this domain.... Out of curiosity what was the keyword?

You keep asking "How on earth can one day make a complete difference in my rank?!

Yes this is Google you can rank for a great keyword on page 1 this second but the next your slapped

Its really hard to tell whats the problem because I have site that disappear out the serp for 2 week and right back to page 1

Are you kidding me? I know you mean well, but I have spent literally 1,000's of hours on this site and have done interviews on there with top fitness models and competition winners. This is a winning site that I plan to have for years.

I have also spent hours writing ALL my content by hand. I have built this site and created content all white hat, the real way. The spammy links you are talking about I have also noticed and have no idea how they came about.

They are not a result from me. Listen, I have no reason to lie or deceive you or anyone here and am being completely transparent.

Just get social media in for your traffic, don't let all that content go to waste

That's Google for ya, they love to shit on the small guys, all the time!

Are you kidding me?

Nope. Definitely not kidding you. Heavy amount of really trashy, spammy, black hat links. I dont give a hoot about your content, was just looking at your links... perhaps you ought to as well before saying that no black hat techniques were used on site.... ahrefs(dot)com/site-explorer/overview/subdomains/bodybuildingmotivation(dot)net One look at this link profile SCREAMS "de-index me please" to google. Be honest with yourself, either you built them, paid for them to be built or someone is actively negative SEO'ing your site... These are the facts jack, don't try to circumvent them.

Again, let me just say that I have seen those links before on majesticseo.com. I know what you are referring to and are not telling me anything new. I am not debating that what you see there could be a big reason as to why it's deindexed.

I also wish I could tell you where those links came from. I did not build them, pay for them to built, and maybe someone IS negatively seo'ing my site. Thanks for helping me out bro I appreciate it. And again, I have not spent any time marketing my site yet aside from on-page seo.

Looks like someone ordered a fiverr hit job on your site bro. Did you receive any messages in webmaster tools?

You did say you beat out some sites that have been there for years, and you probably just found out why they have been there for so long.

If I were you OP, I would removed the site domain, just post screenshot of analytics and link profile.

This guy ranks without any off page seo link work. His on-page is so amazing it defies all logic or the keyword doesn't matter at all... Yet somehow for an entire year the site has had more than 1K backlinks... this story is not adding up for me... what am I missing.

"Do you even on-page seo bro?" - OP

If you did not do it, then negative SEO most likely, big spike in links starting at the end of June according to ahrefs....

referring domains dropped over same period, though all of this was added onto a base of over 1K links....

OK... I will quickly go over it, and identify some of the factors leading to this drop for you. I'm sure there are many more, but I only spent 10 minutes on your website, so take what you will from this.

Meta Data: Over-optimized

Your meta data is over optimized. You repeat your keyword twice - consecutively - in the title. You repeat it twice in the description too. In addition, it is also in your domain name. Google is not impressed.

Your backlink profile is very weak and untrustworthy

Lets take a look at your backlink profile.

Zero trust, and you've only got 9 referring domains. That is fine, if those are domains trusted by Google, have authority and are from trusted pages (not just domains) - but yours aren't. Here are your backlinks:

So your backlinks are from a splattering of websites that anyone can get links, one blog and a link from one of your bodybuilding related websites. NONE of these links have any trust. You got the most links I believe from bestphormones.org - so lets see what Google thinks of this website:

So it is a PR 0. Not looking good - but are the links strong, and this was just the result of the PR not being refreshed in ages?

No, it isn't - this is an incredibly weak link profile too with, again, zero trust. To top it off, the link coming in from there is a sidebar link, which leaves a massive footprint.

I checked out the keyword. That is a nice find there in a niche that is very lucrative. All of the top results are from websites with massive authority in the niche, but the actual pages have very few links.

Here is what to improve on next time

- Don't over-use your keyword. You don't need it to be exactly in your description, title and domain. I prefer to not do exact in all 3: put the exact keyword in say the URL, description and in the title put in an extra word inbetween to make it look less spammy. Certainly don't repeat it twice.

- Do what you are doing by building less backlinks, but focusing on quality. Except, actually build QUALITY links. You can't expect to build some social/bookmarking profiles and slap a sidebar link on a shitty site and rank at the top. High PR private blog links would do the trick here.

My two cents.

Hi, If any page from your website can be found in Google's search results you aren't banned. Also, no visitors doesn't mean crawlers aren't visiting your site. Under "Traffic Sources" click on "Search Engines" to see if Google is crawling your pages. Thanks, hope your problem will be fix ASAP.

bad idea providing your domain here, but whats done is done

did you receive a penalty via webmaster tools? they just rolled out unnatural link warnings yseterday.
