Me and my partners have spent a lot of time and money into our main site, now I need your guys expertise to spread the word and get the rank up!

What services are worth investing in? I really want to be ranked on the first page for our main keywords. I don't mind in investing a decent amount of money for a service that can guarantee us a competitive spot!

Me and a few friends were also planning on manually registering for forums and submitting links as well to blogs to spread the word. We plan to officially launch by the end of the year, any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

you should start with some social bookmarks.....read the reviews before buying

I really hope that solid market research was part of your initial workload, and you're not starting with a new site hoping to rank for highly competitive keywords.

If you haven't done any proper keyword research and analysis then stop and do it now. You may then be able to tweak your content and ensure you're going after some sensible long-tails to begin with. Choose longtails that also contain some of the more major keywords, so over time you'll gain rank for those too.

Either way, your backlinking strategy is FAR more important than the tools you use. Please don't just buy a bunch of services and 'blast' a bunch of low-quality links with optimised keywords at a new domain; you'll be Google bouncing till 2014!

First, take the time to understand how easy it is to over-optimise now with a new domain and leyword anchors. Read this thread through:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/380205-how-often-do-you-link-without-anchor-text.html

I explained a number of issues to watch for there.

I also have a some basic SEO/optimisation guidelines here:

http://www.backlinkbanzai.com/SEOBasics.php

The most important thing is that you get into the test and measure mind-set immediately. Try something on a very small scale and see what happens, then go a little larger and check again. Take small steps while you gain SEO knowledge and experience. Only trust empirical data; not opinions and heresay.

Good luck!

IF your site is new then you should follow directory submission, article submissions, blog posting and Press releases..Later you can follow other linkbuilding methods like profiles, bookmarking, wikis etc..
