My rankings went down from #30 to #70
But one kw is still at its position
Also in GMT there is no manual penalty
Will it recover ?

I was expecting something like #1 to hell.

What you get there is totally normal. You don't even RANK if you ask me. With a good content you are instantly on page #30-40 after indexing and from there is just dance.

How old is your site? Since you don’t have a manual penalty, it must be the Google dance.

Build some decent backlinks to your page and see if it moves the needle.

It’s an expired domain but it had no backlinks just an old domain, I am using it since 3 years and maybe the domain is 5 years old

Build more backlinks, it'll help.

As for me, it's a punishment from Google, but as a colleague wrote above, if you build links, you'll find out.

Reduce your Bounce rate and see if you can make your site load faster. It will help you rank higher.

I would suggest to keep building links. Also have a look at your anchor text ratio and possibly build some brand and naked URL anchors. What you are experiencing happened to me while employing rather agressive anchor % strategy.

Continue working like normal. Build links and work on your contents you should get better rankings sooner or later.

Google could remove page 2 onwards and nobody would notice

@topic, I was in the same place just add some quality links and make sure they are indexed and see if it increases your rank

Google page 2 is safest place to hide a dead body. Nobody would find it.
