My site doesn't have a single keyword in GSC

Hello BHW members,

I'm curious about the experiences of users who have faced similar issues.

I have a website where I've been working on backlinks for the past two months. Other sites that started working at the same time have decent rankings, but my website currently shows no keywords in Google Search Console. The robots.txt file is set to User-Agent: * Allow: /, and when I checked in GSC, crawling is fine. When I search for site:my domain
, it shows that the site is indexed.

I believe the on-page SEO is reasonably good as well. The site was originally created with a golf-related theme but was changed to a casino theme. Three months ago, I checked GSC, and golf-related keywords were showing up. However, now, for the past two months, there are no keywords at all.

What could possibly be the issue? My site's DR is over 50, which is high, but I'm not seeing any keywords. Is there anyone who can help identify the problem?

Have this exact same situation with a client. He didn't check the use case history of a premium domain on Archive.org and bought it anyway. It was used as an arts niche domain in the past and he ended up writing real estate stuff on it. Terrible indexing issues and ranking issues. Here is a traffic overview of it right now.

The domain of my site is a clean domain with no history.

But you changed the use case right? Like you said in your original post that "The site was originally created with a golf-related theme but was changed to a casino theme."

Hence, I shared my client's example.

But you said it was used for a golf site and now you've changed it casino.

Your situation isn't very clear, but quickly moving from one niche to another that's totally unrelated would be difficult to rank for. Especially for niches like Casino that are already very competitive niches.

Furthermore, it seems your domain is aged/expired since you said it has a DR 50.
For you to make progress with an expired domain, you need to first restore to the site it's pages. Get back on Google's indexing as it was in the past, before making changes.

Something you should know, switching niches of an expired domain doesn't always work. It's hit or miss sometimes.

Wouldn't it solve the problem if I kept writing the subject that I changed, and I changed the anchor text on the backlink?

I had many times this situation with previously used (expired, dropped, auction) domain.
Forget it and go with another domain, better fresh.

The developer didn't set up Noindex and changed it from golf theme to casino theme. I think this was the problem.
