I created a capture page about 3 months ago which had the exact keywords in the .com domain name and I ranked that capture site 1st page of Google and its been there up until a few days ago. It dropped from the rankings, but it still indexed. (Is it sandboxed?)

And I created another website with the exact keywords in a .org domain name 3 days ago, got it indexed, didn't do much Black Hat SEO for it, and then today I found it completely gone from the search engines. It just disappeared.

Can anyone help me out with either of these problems?

    Thanks!

I know Google has changed their algorithms recently, but I don't know if that really had anything to do with it or why it hurt my sites so bad.

If you do site:yourdomain in Google and you see some of your pages your NOT sandboxed.

What's happening here is known as the Google Dance.
New sites can rank pretty fast. While your building links and maybe add content Google evaluates what's happening and you bounce a bit around on page 1 or 2.

After a certain periode Google makes its final evaluation of the quality of your site as it is at that moment. Sites can drop significantly and this can last for a couple of months in a worst case scenario.
If it returns to page 1 or 2 it's position is pretty solid (unless the competition beats you).

I have a lot of sites and witness this everyday. When I see a traffic rise in my stats all of a sudden I know the site has returned to page 1.

    Thanks Blackhit, this really helped!

However, what if you don't see any of your other pages indexed? The first site I mentioned is now back up and running, but the second site I said disappeared is still not showing up and I don't see any other pages indexed.

    Thanks again for the info!

Sometimes the Google dance happens to any sites, esp new sites... Give it some time (a month) and it should return...

If there were pages indexed and suddenly none it doesn't look good...could be sandbox.

However you wrote that the site is 3 days old so there could be something else going here.

One option is that G indexed them but dropped them pretty fast awaiting the 1st evaluation.

    Another option.
I read somewhere that Google has 26+ datacenters around the world. When you check your stats it connects to one of these centers.
When a site is fresh and you check every hour and you see different numbers of pages indexed it means you're connecting to a different database every time.
These databases "synchronize" their content but this takes time.

Check your stats and see if the Google bots still show up. If that's the case there's nothing to worry about for the moment.

there's a thread on there that claims to help you get out of the box. just search "sandbox" and you'll probably find it. haven't needed it, but if you use it post back and let us know.

Do some backlinking in organic way like blog commenting both do-follow and nofollow. And always keep balance in all types of backlink like social bookmark, article, blog comment, profile etc etc.
The main thing is "Always do backlinking in such a way that bot thinks they are organic(I know bot can't think but bot maker have already thought.)" Google is much smarter than anytime before.

You can go talk to them at their offices about it maybe they will reconsider their decision of de-indexing you

Yes that's like of how it is for me. I now have most of my other website's pages indexed, but the main homepage keeps disappearing and reappearing on the 1st page.

I think they are just re-evaluating my site though because I'm also updating my homepage often and changing the on page SEO a bit.

Thanks for all of your helpful posts!

Hi ,do you have samilar problem woth me,

My domain was registered on September,2009.I had began to post some quality article Everyweek from June and these day I post each article everyday. All the content were indexed and each Keyword (I had many different kw) ranked at very good station. Especially, google index every page very fast.. for example , google get the page index-ed When I just click the publish button(My site is created by wordpree),as happened at the same time.

I build backlink regular that looks like naturally. all types of backlink like Article submission ,social bookmark, blog comment, profile etc, mixed with both do-follow and nofollow.

Now see what happened with this site below ,

June 10th. All keywords dropped from the rankings ,June 17th All KW returned and get better rank.

June 28th All keywords dropped again, July 3rd Returned again.

July 15th Dropped ,July 21st Returned.

July 29th morning Dropped, night Returned, This time is the shortest

    Aug 6th Dropped,Aug 26th Returned,This time is the longest.

    Today,My site dropped Again!!!
Is anyone have similar experience? And how can I solve this problem.I?m so sad ,Please give me some advice. Thanks a lot.

Yes I agree with pirondi, thats been my experience too, even with this new site I was having problems with.

I wouldn't sweat it. Now that I know my site is okay and Google didn't crush me, I can expect to have my site disappear a few times and don't need to worry because it will always come back and usually rank higher than before.
