My site disappeared after doing some blog commenting!

I have a website that has disappeared from google after i commented on about 25 blogs today using "the free blog commenter" tool. I used proxies when commenting. The site won't even come up in google when i type in the exact url. I'm a newbie... what did I do and what can I do to fix it, if anything?

Don't panic!

If it's a fairly new site, google is still figuring out what to do with it. I have had sites appear to be de-indexed for a few days, but they always come back soon. It most likely had nothing to do with the backlinks you built.

It's an established site (5 years old)that was ranking very well (1st page of google for multiple keywords)... now all of the sudden NONE of it's pages are indexed and it won't even find my URL. I've used the blog commenter a few times before and never had a problem but maybe google is doing something new to detect this? I know you guys said don't panic, but from everything I've been reading so far it sounds like I got banned. What can/should I do?

That looks like deindex to me.

OP - did you post spam to sites with many vi@gra links and so?
Or did you use organic blog commenting?

As I mentioned in the first post, I used "the free blog commenter" tool, I believe I downloaded it in the member downloads section about a year ago. I'm sure some of the blogs the program generated from the keywords I entered were spammed, some were also clean, or no comments at all. Most seemed moderated, but I'd say on about half of the 25 or so blogs I commented on using the program I actually skimmed the blog and readers comments and wrote a short, one sentence comment which was pretty relevent to the site/topic. The other half or so of the comments I had a set of three different names, comments, and pages within my site that were cycled and used. The comments I posted were just generic sayings like "great site, thanks for sharing". I also used proxies that I obtained by using proxy finder enterprise and checking the proxies with bleach proxy checker earlier today. I think I may have posted a few comments without using the proxies as well.

If you do a "site:domain.com" operator and google is still showing results, then be happy - you're not de-indexed.

It could be that your website doesn't usually get too many backlinks to it, and then if you did 25 in one day it seems like a 'jump' to Google and perhaps they're deciding for a better placement of your site.

To be honest, if I were you (and I'm not SEO professional) if the site is established, I would keep on building those links. I really don't think it's good to do a jolt here and there every now and then, it really makes it not look organic. I mean, if google indexed all of those 25 backlinks in one day.... but all other days, there is nothing, it may not look so good to them.

That's why I try and build a couple of back links everyday. I am probably over doing it, but on fairly new sites (1 month old) I am building about 10 links a day to each of my 3-4 sites using my own auto approve list. I do this every day (or at worst, every second day) to keep the links looking natural, to give the impression that people are linking to my site everyday. I think this is the best way to go about it.

I think you'll be back in the results soon, well, I hope so at least !

Edit: Oh and also, make sure to vary your anchor text. 25 back links with the same anchor text makes it look suspicious, as I doubt 'people' would be linking to the same site with the same anchor EVERY time. Again, you probably know this, but I'm just saying. Also, link to internal sites too, not just your home page. Gotta keep it looking natural.

Just keep building links, One of my site disappeared for like 4 weeks. I stopped checking after 2 weeks and it came back stronger.

My opinion (and YMMV) is that even getting a big set of backlinks in one day isn't really a problem. It might just mean that you posted somthing particularly interesting and lots of folks are reading and linking to it.

just an update:

i'm still building a few backlinks here and there and checking everyday, but no luck yet. it's been one full week now and google still only sees my site in a site: search.

still not in google results, having an xrumer blast done though. i figure if i'm going to be sandboxed, i might as well go all out and come back stronger. hopefully google doesn't add to be sentence, lol
