My shoutouts are bombing!

I have two separate accounts for two businesses, 1 in a weight loss product the other in golf information.
Paid for two shoutouts:

Weight loss influencer: 640k follower account, usually they get 4k likes per image. I purchased a shoutout for a few hours, posted an original before and after pic (which is inline with what they post) and i got like 40followers, if that...

Golf Shoutout: went a different route here, who plays golf? men. So i found an Insta-skank; 2.4M followers & paid $200 for a shoutout for 2hrs and lucky if i got 30 followers from that. Image was of another chick with a big rack dressed in revealing golf clothes mentioning my insta account.

Are people getting similar results? anyone care to provide examples of how to make a successful shoutout?

Lol i did that because my post kept getting rejected but the auto-mod system when submitting. I wasn't sure exactly what was triggering it but as advertising services is banned so i edited 'shoutout', 'business','accounts' & 'influencer'. Welcome to 1996

Yes, shoutouts are a broke system. So much of it's fakened on IG. Accounts delete everything except the posts they've boosted with fake likes. Those 40 followers were probably fake traffic they sent your way too. I could never make paid shoutouts work as a growth strategy. You get the same from mass follow strategy and that's free.

Nowadays it's hard to look for a big account with genuine followers and likes for a shoutout. I guess you have to try harder. Most likely those two accounts bought fake followers and likes. I once made a shoutout with my then 12k account and the other account got around 80 followers from it.

Never do shoutouts that stay for a limited timeframe only. They do this so they can delete bought posts and with it the proof that their account is shit in reality.

most have the option to leave your shoutout there permanently but cost a fortune! People are saying here that they are getting shout for $xx but i haven't found that to be the case

I had different results with my paid shoutouts.

First one (maybe I have 500 followers or so) I got like 30 or 40 (from a 35k account hahaha). Paid 5usd.
Second one was a package, 2 shoutouts from the same account in different days. Maybe 150 in total? (I put the info in my journey if you want to know exact details). 60usd? 50? more or less.
Third and last one another package of two shoutouts from same guy but different accounts. One from a 210k and the other one, within a few hours, from a 450k. In total with this guy +400 or so?

Now I am making shoutouts and the results vary depending on the receiver one. I mean...it's not the same to connect people with quality accounts than with accounts and no more. Quality is key. Worst shoutout I did was to a little account which I gave him more or less 40 followers for a 2h. Best one...mm....+400-450 to a guy with a 17k account in the same niche and quality media. He wanted to repeat few days ago and results were the same, +350-400 within first 24h and an increase of likes significanty high, he was averaging 30-50 followers daily and 250-300 likes. during the shoutout his pics reached 2k. In fact, he is ordering me again next week and yesterday told me he bought from a 2M account and paid 400usd for 4 shoutouts and each of them lead to 500 followers, so he was disapointed.

Long story short, depends on multiple factors. Sometimes works and sometimes not. (And here is where I just discovered the Holy Grail hahaha)

thats not much what people get from shuotouts. even 500 follower is not really a kik.

Gotta keep trying to see what works. Try make them post something super enticing, so that when they go to your page, (which will be on private) they HAVE to follow in order to see the content.

Try making a teaser video, that doesn't show the entire thing, but cuts out and says "Follow @MyPage to see the rest!" on the video itself, that should help a lot

The golf one was a bit of a stretch. Can't assume someone who likes women also likes golf.

You're better off targeting golf accounts for golf.

If you've only bought two shoutouts so far, keep trying. It's a numbers game.

Experiment with different accounts and post types until you find something that works.

Shoutouts are often hit or miss, as mentioned - you never know how many real followers that account has.
