How much traffic are you getting to your shopify store? Which social media are you getting the most traffic from?

Have a look at the right most column I post in my excel updates I post. That is the unique visitors. So not much at the moment. Most is from Facebook, and 2nd most is from Instagram

Updated the column names to be better

Started my first facebook ad campaign yesterday, with about $5 running per day. Let's see if the visitors to the site is up by tomorrow.

WHOOO HOOO!!!! I had my first order yesterday!!!

Here is an update for June:



In June I doubled my Instagram following, from 2068 to 4328, Facebook from 193 to 819. I know the numbers are still small, but I am happy. The sale came from a FB ad I was running. I will continue to run the ad, and hopefully I can get my 2nd sale as well. The ad cost me just a bit more than the profit I made, so that is something to be looked at. If I can spend $1000 and make a profit of $1500 on that, then I have a winning combo. But it's still early days, and things will be better when you have a bigger following.

I am thinking of ramping up the prices a bit, and rather offer free worldwide shipping. I think people like that, what do you guys think. I will add a column to my sheet for number of orders.

Instagram is running okay now, and the botting process is going strong. Maybe it's time to start with Pinterest next, or should I focus on getting more followers on the Facebook page first?

I watch your update everyday and that feeling from the first sale is awesome. I do believe using google shopping will make your sale faster but maybe your strategy much better for long term. Keep us updated bud.

Had my 2nd order today... YAY! It seems as if at the moment, FB ads are bringing the people to the site, although the conversion is not that high. Dropped my prices, and gave free shipping to all US based customers. I also reached 5000 followers on Instagram, and the 1000 mark is getting closer on FB.

Update on my other Instagram accounts

Account 1: 5,053/2,364 - Following (Blue)
Account 2: 7,811/3,001 - Unfollowing (Red)
Account 3: 9,186/6,382 - Unfollowing (Purple)



The green line is a dormant account that I am still deciding what to do with.

The growth is constant with the actions I am performing (follow vs unfollow) and at least I have not yet seen any decline in numbers when I started to unfollow.

Current instagram goals is to get my first ever account to have 10k followers, and to get my first pic to have 1k likes. None of the account are showing any major organic growth yet, but as was discussed earlier, it seems that it would only happen at some point between 12k and 20k followers depending on the niche.

Here is a graph of my primary account's daily followers gained:



You can clearly see where I am following and where I am unfollowing. The overall trend is still downwards, but that is mainly because I had a picture featured by instagram and gained more than 200 followers in one day.

The table below from Socialblade should give you a good indication of my limits. I do consider the account aged now, and is slowly starting to push the boundaries of daily followings



On my other accounts, I do see a better ratio on follow backs, not sure if this account is following the wrong users, time will tell

Organic search traffic from Google is still non-existant, site is indexed, but no real traffic to it yet. With google you never know, so just be patient and keep on adding content to the site in terms of blog posts and products.

So here is something I have been pondering over the last week or so.

Currently, I have 4 Instagram accounts. 3 of them in specific niches and the other one was always lagging behind, but I loved the name, and always felt like it could be a brand.

Now I am thinking of making my shop the brand and have niches that sell on the brand's website. The niche will have its own category on the website.

Let me try and explain.

I have a domain, let's call it a.com this will become the primary site for traffic and for the shop. The domain does not have any keywords in, it's just a funky name. Let's call my 3 niches x,y & z. I have x.com, y.com, z.net and they all have their own social accounts, which is growing nicely. I am thinking of keeping the domains for x,y & z and just redirect them to the category on a.com. So when a user goes to x.com it will redirect to a.com/collections/x

The reason I am thinking about this is that I can build up multiple niches on any social platform, and just send the traffic to a.com. a.com will be authoritative and think it could have more content, more products and it could become a brand. I also only have to manage one store, and fulfil orders from a single store.

a.com will still have social accounts, but that is more to showcase what the sub niches are doing.

Do you think it's a good idea or a bad idea?

So I think the pivot is happening. I will have to change my charts and graphs a bit, but I think it is better to create a brand, and have all my niches use that brand as the selling point. Sort of like teespring for my own niches. This will also allow me to do products that are not connected to one of my niches.

I think I will structure it as follow:

1. Master Account - This account is the brand, I will probably stop botting on this one. Current Instagram stats is 3571 followers. This one does not have a niche connected to it, so it is just the engine for all of it.
2. Niche Account 1,2 & 3, this is where I will bot on, but the traffic will all be sent to the master account.

I do think I might keep the domains I have registered for the niche accounts, and just make them redirect to the actual category on the master site.

I will take the weekend to try and set this all up. Let's see how it goes.

how often do you post/repost per week on this account to promote your main? followers gain per repost???

you should do manual follow/unfollow on twitter and pinterest too. this will bring you additional traffic

Hi everyone,

The last week has been great, sorry for being so quiet, but had to get my bearings in line and set up everything as I see it should work now. Once you start digging, you find so many old stuff that you can actually use.

My new store is now live, and I am redirecting the old domains to the new store. trying to consolidate everything and point them to one store. In short, I will have one "mega" store that sells products for all my niches.

I am now busy with a plan of action on how to get this all in motion. I have updated all my charts, and might be able to post the first version of it today.
