My setup for video, audio, and screen capture

I create video primarily in producing content for my courses on Udemy. I have a Canon Vixia HF R600 for live captures (talking head, etc.), and I use a RODE SmartLav+ and iPhone for audio when using that. The camera audio introduces hum, even when I use another Lavalier mic and plug it directly into the camera.

I use Camtasia Studio for MAC for screen captures and Final Cut Pro X to put it all together.

If anyone uses SmartLav+, please let me know the settings you find most helpful in making up for the low signal. I've adjusted gain to just over 1/2 and Attack to 2.5 ms as recommended by someone somewhere...
