My SEO strategy, need your opinion

There are two ways to do this:

1) Just get different domains from different hosting companies, which are almost by definition on separate IPs, but you should check to make sure. Put who you got them from, login info, and any other particulars in a spreadsheet so you don't forget what you have done. Ecrypt that file. Don't necessarily use the same domain registrar for each and don't use the same domain ownership info for each. Use subdomains instead of all unique domains. You don't really need each domain on a separate IP. What you need is unique content the blogs. Use more than one method to blog. They don't all have to be Wordpress. Even if they are, they don't all have to have exactly the same set of plugins or configuration. Get links to the blogs. Well constructed link pyramids still work well.

2) Get your different c-class IP hosting from seohosting.com. They are pretty good. You will have to learn whm, which is how they manage the IPs and domains, and you will have a separate cPanel for each domain. The have a lot of tutorials that explain it, and their live chat help is quite good in my opinion. All of the other tips above still apply.

Then what is the point? Build only one big site.

I'd build One Main...6 subdomains (depending on the Niche and Keywords for Subs)

Then Make another Main with 6 or more Subs...and so on.

Links from Subs point to main....in groups.

I think interlinking defeats the purpose of having them all on different IPs. The jury is out on this, but interlinking can be a dead giveaway that you are trying to game the engines.

There's a very powerful service called linkboss and they make it clear in their TOS that they don't interlink their sites. I suppose if a $147 a month link building service doesn't interlink and delivers consistent rankings, then neither should you (or I)

But our target is to have blogs with different IPs and different owners. please explain.

I will not write about interlinking because I do not have much info. But I have some questions:

1. Will these 50 (or 300) blogs be standalone websites? In another words, will they be created to support your main sites or will they be built upon well-chosen niches?

2. I do not know why do you think about subdomains? How can you interlink subdomains? Don't you think it is not better than using seperate domain names? And also (maybe) it should be risky.

3. For C Class IP hosting, go for chilledhost. They have a special promo for seo hosting. You can have a network hosting for a year cheaper than one month's price of seohosting. Promo code CLIENT and it gives 55% discount. I use their service and happy up to now.

One of the most misleading advice that I have seen here. And unfortunately OP thanked him. Let's examine:

1- "Just get different domains from different hosting companies" NEVER EVER DO THAT. Never buy your domains from hosting companies even they give it for free. (Or use those domains just to support your main site. But be ready to forget them after a year or after a problem with the hosting company). Buy your domains from
--- Goddady
--- Netfirms (now $4.95 for .coms)
--- namecheap
--- dotster
--- name
--- and the other domain registrars.

2- Sorry. I will not go on. Because everything he wrote is a crap nothing else. No need to use such an excell sheet. (but OK for other processes). Forget everything he wrote. WP is good enough for all your blogs. Are you crazy to learn 20-30 scripts? (like joomla, Moodle, mambo, serendipity, lifetype, nucleus...)

3- Last but not least, seohosting.com is the last option get different IPs. It is too much expensive. Rather, use chilledhost, or find Josh.w36 (here on BHW) giving c-class IPs and hosting for a reasonal amount of money.

As a highly experienced SEO, in this day and age I believe if you try to interlink them it will hurt your network...because it doesn't seem natural for 50 sites to only link to one another. The logic: What 50 sites out there that have 0 backlinks are suddenly going to link to one another?

You may go through alot of work to end up 50 sites that don't rank well.

Solution: Create a hierarchy/link pyramid or use an open-ended structure with them BUT first get links to the sites from external sources before you start linking them together. After each site has many links pointing to them from article directories, profile links, and directories...link them together slowly over a month.

See what I mean with that strategy...it's much more natural.

Search for "hostmonster review" and do a research on the first result that you'll see the power of interlinking.

Sometimes it amazes me that any "newbie" in the internet marketing arena can ever start to make a decent living with all the BOGUS information that people (that don't have enough REAL experience to even KNOW what they are talking about) pass out. And the worst part is they don't have any way of knowing if the information is any good or not.

"Interlinking" in and of itself is not bad. After all, do you think that google.com, cnn.com, msn.com, etc., are "interlinked"? Of course they are!!! Does it hurt their rankings? Hello!!!...I don't think so! So be smart about it. Don't abuse it. Use your sites to create a massive backlink "army" to use any time you want. There are several major players in the IM arena that have built the EXACT type of setup you are contemplating.

Instead of really "interlinking", it is probably better to set it up this way:

1.) Use one group of IPs for you "money" sites. Don't interlink these in any way. This will help keep Google from "tracking down" the fact that you are building backlinks to your own sites.

2.) Spread your other domains out over your additional IPs at 5-10 domains/IP. As was mentioned previously, you can add subdomains to these sites to end up with more "sites".

3.) Use these sites as the hub for all your backlinks pointing back to your money sites.

4.) Mixing in some interlinking between all these non-money sites is fine. In fact, it can help pass "link juice" around making all your sites (and links) stronger. Just don't overdo it so that it looks unnatural.

Good luck in your endevor. Don't right, this could be a GREAT tool! And remember to not listen to all the advice that is given in this forum (or any other for that matter). You may want to find someone that has done what you want to do and see if they have a coaching program available.
