I am working on getting my site to #1 out of a 2 million+ results keyword I believe has 40k searches a month (will correct when I recheck)

I am ONLY blasting RANDOM BlogEngine sites to see how it does. No PR checking etc, I'm doing it lazy style.

Today I did 200 comments and ranked @ #18 currently.

Also, just wondering but why only Blog Engine? Is it because most of them are set to auto approve? And since you're commenting to totally random blogs are your comments just completely generic? So in short you're trying to "spam" your way to the top? :D

No offense at all and I may actually start something similar to this, but I'm just wondering about the questions above.

Because most BE's are ******** and yea pretty much spam my way to the top I did it with other KW's but this one is a bit more competitive. And yes just random comments they'll must likely approve.

Number of search results is irrelevant. All that matters is strength of competition. What are the number of back links for each of the top three sites?

Don't want to hijack this thread but in 2 weeks, only with BE blogs, I reached position 9 with about...20-30 comments/day.
How I did it? Gathered 46k keywords, harvested all, got a couple of millions blogs (in multiple sessions because of the 1million barrier), of course remove dup domains and posts, only 7k unique posts remained. Still have more to go but I find it unbelievable ranking so fast for a medium competition keyword. :)
Will throw some profiles as well but later, now only doing the Scrapebox thingy on it.

Again, sorry for hijacking, will follow this thread!
 
Would like to see how this goes, blogengines are a few compared to Wordpress. btw are you linking directly to money site or parasites? be careful if it's a new domain

wordpress always has higher PR.. well usually, but that doesn't mean the BE doesn't.
wordpress is mostly no-f0llow
be .. you can catch do-f0ll0ws all day with it.
so, keep up the prgress, and try some other blog types

Todays rank is #17 so just 1 up from last time.

Site ranked #1: 95 Backlinks
Site ranked #2: 16,020 Backlinks
Site ranked #3: 17 Backlinks

are you doing them directly to your site, or to a property thats linking to your site?
 
Ok, so today I noticed 2 million+ more results have been added to my keyword results which pushed my site to page 6 to rank # 58

I will double my blast today and hopefully it can get back to where it was. :eek: I will also add in Wordpress

You kidding right?! 95 IBLs for #1 and you're sweating it? That's like super super low competition. No wonder you rank there with so low quality links.

#2 probably ranks just because of domain authority and doesn't have the exact keyword in the title and is not too optimized for that keyword.

Anyway, congratulations, you discovered a niche that is easy to rank in. But, keep in mind that if you had some real competition, you wouldn't outrank them with just comment links.

Never said I was sweating it, only made this journal so other people can learn from it and take action on their part.

Anyway, I appreciate your input. :)

It's another blogging platform like Wordpress, except not a lot of people use it.
