So I have a site that has been in the "Sandbox" for a couple of months now. It is site that has been up since December 2010, and has 20 original articles of about 4-500 words each, each page optimized for a certain keyword.

Basically I was climbing the serps for low/medium competition words using SEnuke, AMR, Scrapebox, and BMD for my links.

At the time of the drop (around march), I had 10,000 links in Yahoo.

I had a bunch of page 1 and page 2 rankings then "BAM", all my words dropped to like 500+ in the search engines.

I tried to add a few more articles as well as continue to build links (half assed effort I will say tho), and now am losing hope.

If I were to give one place I went wrong, I think I used SB too much. I was just blasting away my money site with blog comments, and I think that is what did me in.

--------------------------------------------------

That being said, today I decided "F#*# IT", I'm gonna do an experiment because there are sooooo many theories on sandbox, how to get out, etc.

So my scientific experiment is....

I'M JUST GOING TO BLAST THE SH!T OUT OF THE SITE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!!!!!!!!! :D

So today is Day #1. I'm in the process of blasting 20,000 AA Scrapebox Blog Comments spread out with different anchors across all the pages.

I want to keep a log here to hopefully keep me more accountable, cuz maybe if people are watching I'll be more inclined to stay with it.

Any suggestions appreciated! Cheers!

cool. Im blasting the shit out of a 2 day old domain. ran about 1,000,000 urls through scrapebox so far. got a couple hundred thousand successful posts and no idea how many actual links yet. just gonna keep spraying it.

Well I'm doin this in the name of Science.

At this point, the domain is a throwaway and I got nothin to lose.

I don't want to say "Add Content" or "Change On-Site" etc. to keep the experiment controlled.

I want to know if it is possible to merely "Blast Your Way" out of the sandbox.

The site is nothin shady. There are no keyword stuffing, cloaked text, duplicate content, etc. I think I just backlinked too quick and got Sandboxed.

So there are a lot of implications in this experiment. If links do "hurt", then in theory you could just SB your competition into oblivion.

A lot of people say "Oh don't do that, or your competition will come back stronger".

Well regardless if they come back "stronger", a site in the Sandbox for months can do heavy damage for one's business.

This site has been in the box for almost 2 months now. Gonna see if I can "blast out".

I have heard theories that if the sandbox happens, to not stop linkbuilding - just proceed as normal. I've never tried it myself, so thanks for this! Looking forward to your findings.

Actually pretty interested in this--I've never had a site sandboxed for longer than a month, but I'm pretty reserved in my linkbuilding. Everyone seems to have their own opinion on the sandbox (some saying it doesn't exist at all) based on their own personal experience.

I always wanted to get another sandboxed site so I could do a similar test and "do a barrel roll and blast it into oblivion". :p

Let's see what happens... that's a really long time to be "at the dance."

I blast one of my money site like there is no tomorrow....result? a new keyword rank#2 in less than 2 months!!

I am in the same situation. I was on the top for several keywords, but now i am already for more than a week on page 6+ and for this position is no traffic.

Waiting for your results.

Edit: Crap I can't get the image bigger than that. I over it, you get the idea. :D
