Sales are really down in my niche. Unfortunately sales are down as a whole in my industry. I suppose it can be chalked up to the election considering September - December is usually the best time of the year for me. In 45 days I have went from $12k+ a month to only $6k. I know $6k still sounds like a lot but it's not when you just bought a new home, are still paying rent on an apartment, just got married and are having a baby.

Are sales down for you guys too? Otherwise it must just be industry specific.

Thanks guys!

Do you rely solely on search engine traffic (organic)?

Well i guess it depends on your niche but sales have doubled for me in the dating niche this month.

I've noticed a decrease in my proxy sales over the past 6 weeks, so not just you. Feels like it does at Christmas - things are definitely slow.

I do not rely on search engine traffic whatsoever. My traffic (3,000+ UV's a day) has not changed at all; however my sales have cut in half. My brother and a few others that I know are in the same niche and it is a huge industry and we all seem to be suffering. I broker actual products and take a certain percentage so I'm not exactly an affiliate marketer although it is very very similar. None of the people nor companies that I broker for are able to move their inventory currently even though they use multiple outlets and brokers. Some of my associates that aren't quite as large scale as I am are going under left and right because they just aren't making any conversions. It's getting pretty rough.

I don't know what niche you're in, but have you been in this niche for a couple years? Are the numbers looking the same YoY? Seasonality is the only thing I can assume as I don't know the exact niche or what you do specifically.

My Hidemyass affiliate sales have sky rocketed in the past week. Its amazing. Things aren't slowing down for everyone.

Dont stick to just 1 niche or industry

Always think about expanding and if your current niche has been milked to death. Try to find a new niche in which you can still make good money

I hope i helped

I hope things start looking up for you Tsmash, you're a great guy and the last time I checked up on you you said you had kind of monopoly for a product that was making you really good money. I will say a prayer in your name.

You can't put all your eggs in one basket. You have to target several niches, so when one suffers, others will pick up the slack.

I learned this the hard way back in 2006 when I was targeting real estate. In 2006 the real estate market crashed and I went from 30k+ per month to less than 2k per month. I took a major hit. So, I decided it was time to branch out into any niche I can.

Sticking to a single niche is financial suicide.

I stated in the OP that this is usually the best time of the year for my industry.

Hard to know without a general idea of your niche.

What is hard to know? I know sales are down in my industry, I simply asked if they were down in others as well.

I have other ways of making money, but this takes the majority of my time. You have to keep in mind that this is an actually business in a real industry. Not just little CPA and Affiliate marketing. This niche was around for over a hundred years before the internet existed and I seriously doubt it's going to be "milked to death".

Thanks a lot man. Yeah I was doing really well for a while because there was a product that I had complete access to that no one else did. Unfortunately that contract ran out a while back and the product then went industry wide.

what's your niche buddy ?

Yeah, right.

Look into big news, maybe that could be problem. Media could ruin bussiness
