Hey there! All my devices set up for US. Perfectly work with Tik Tok, 95% views from US, all good.
But for IG for some reason most views comes from India, that's not what I need. How to avoid it and start getting views from US, any proven tips?

are your devices/sims/accounts made in india?

What type of setup you have, mobile phones or software?

Here is what you need to know about Instagram and TikTok. The way that TikTok operates is they use the data from your simcard to recommend content to new users. The way instagram works is, they recommend new content to new users based off of the users that follow the account. In other words, it doesnt matter where the instagram account was created, you can target any area, anytime, as long as you follow other USA based users and other USA based users recommend your content.

Sounds like it make sense. So to make my content be recommended to USA users I need mostly USA followers is that what you mean?

Tiktok is banned in India.

I am certain that your content on Tiktok is oriented towards attracting Indian audience, if the app were accessible from India. People cant access TikTok from India thats why you dont have Indian viewers on TikTok.

That might be a reason why your IG is getting views from India and TikTok is not.

To target the US audience on Instagram, use geotags and US-specific hashtags, ensure your account settings reflect a US profile, engage with US-based content, run targeted ads, and create content relevant to US interests.

All my devices set up for US, also sims/proxies, everything USA
if you're trying to reach the US, try really hard to hit the audience's senses. What I've noticed is, that the most important thing is to for example put an american flag in the background of your videos or american brands etc., so Americans interact much more than indians. That way, Instagram will switch up your audience automatically.
Sounds simple, but it really is. Setup matters as well of course.

That what works well on Tik Tok, but I didn't notice it to help on IG. To be hones I assume the astrology niche I was trying to target attracts mostly Western people, that can be the cause.

That's possible. And you're right, it's easier on tiktok, on Instagram it needs more time but it definitely works from my experience.

Try using U.S focused hashtags, post when your U.S. audience is most active, and interact with American accounts those small tweaks can really shift your reach.

No matter which country you are from. Instagram algorithms work way differently from other platforms. The content is mostly served to people who are more willing to see it and like it.
As I live in India and if I follow some accounts outside my country, the very next moment or day, I will start seeing content from that country too from various users.
Also, you can test some country-specific hashtags to reach more people in your country and follow more people from your region, and tag some relevant users or pages.

Yeah, IG can be weird with geo reach sometimes. Try using U.S. trending audio, geo tags (like NYC or LA), and post during U.S. peak hours. Also engage with U.S.-based accounts before posting, it can help train the algo a bit.
