My redirect is ranking high.. Why?

Hey guys, pretty new to all of this but Ive been kicking around here for a few years. Now I had this site which I used as a redirect for an clickbank product and it seems to be ranking very well for moderately competitive terms. The thing that really surprises me is that there is only 5 backlinks to this page, so how is it ranking so well?

My second question is that in google its showing up the title and description as whats on the sales page, well the title is ok but the description keeps changing around to whatever keyword you type in google and I think I would get a much better conversion on this if I had an appealing title not a whole bunch of random words from the sales page. Ive changed the meta description tags but its not showing and its been a few weeks :S any tips guys? Would making a new site on this domain effect its ranking? Thanks guys

is it 301 or 302 redirect ? at the moment i am working on 302 redirects and i am trying to do you already did. may i ask about your domain and the sites linking to it ?
