My rankings dropped...

I have a +500 page website with A+ content, it took my 2 years to get there and we are still expanding the website.

I had pretty good rankings (mostly nr 2 or 3) for many many keywords, right behind the big brands in my niche.

My businessmodel is affiliate.

On februari 9 th my rankings dropped on some very important keywords from nr 2-3 to nr 9 to 15.

Whas there a particular Google update around that time?
Is there a way to find out what is hurting my website?
Is there a blackhat way to fix it?

Yes there is an Google update related to content (Google Panda). My website also dropped for most of the keywords from top position.

there was a google update at that day targeting PBN links. What kind of backlinks did you add to your site?

Depending on what you read it was an updated Penguin, Pigeon, Panda algo change.

I think it's a normal Google dance. You can update your website with quality links to upgrade your ranking again and please check your earlier links are indexed and staying correctly.

Saw a huge drop too.. but I didn't made any linkbuilding for long time only posting on social networks which increased the traffic insane and then it stopped around the day you mentioned! I can't figure out what it is

Is there a solution to this decrease in serps, ..,,,,yes .... you need to continue adding backlinks but make sure there in the same nice as the old 2.0 and your link not ghosted in a article , make sure there no hanging spammy links from any 2.0 you use from a web2.0 backlink.....

Not just pbn websites got effected ,

If you use any popups or pops in genrall the website decreases.

If any of your backlinks got there own bad spam links ,then there a decrease.

Some pll also say that the new wordpress update ,take there img tags away ,can sonetimes decrease but very unusall ...

Web 2.0 that are backlinks need special attention make sure the old articles match the same niche your in , that also make a decrease, if not correct niche...

Google is doing a huge dance been going on since dec 2016 because of the new popup bands ,on websites and trying to clean up on spammy links including web2.0 non related niche..

Pbn problam was the domain used ,and the spammy links , and the afflict using popups and popunders...

Ppl have also noticed if your afflict, is using popup or popunders will decrese the website aswell ,,

Some say this only effecting mobile website only , as you no some do both mobile site and a normal site configuration , good marketing pratice encase shit like this happends.....


Warning
There been a lot of web 2.0 ghosting links ,so you dont get the traffic , there blocking a lot of links positioned in a article , but can be resolved but must cheek your outgoing links on all web2.0's

Usally just need to re postion your link somewhere else , like title or otther to correct this ghost problem.
