My quality Content Site vs Aged Domains

Hello everyone,

I was wondering what your opinions were on competing with aged domains. My domain is one month old however it has a lot of quality content and a good backlink profile. Would domain age be more powerful that quality content?

I would be more concerned about the backlinks than the domain age or content.

Create content, create backlinks and in the meantime age will increase but age matters if you are not good at your link building.

To answer your question. Depending on your niche, age of your competition, history of said aged domain. These are all variables at play here.

If you are competeing for a 3600/m kw and your sporting an nice new shiny emd then no age would be pointless.

If your competing for Viagra then yea your gonna need some serious firepower.

What you should really think about doing is combining the both?!??! Zomg!!
301 a aged into your emd. Then go buy coke and hookers with all your Internet riches!! Cause your full of win now buddy!!

This is exactly right. Also, other factors that come into play here are mozrank, domain authority and page authority, and pagerank. Chances are very good that the aged domain is also crushing you in all of these categories as well.
