my progress thus far

So I figured that I would share my progress thus far with the community, I have been at this for probably 6 months. I felt sharing this on the white hat board would be most appropriate because I am trying to go by the book and quite frankly I dont want to make much money. My goal is to make 100.00 a month that all just to help cover a few small expenses such as gas, being a college kid yes 100 is helpful.

Here is where I stand:

I started by creating a website something that I was interested in and really wanted to work with. I designed and put up a website to help others learn how to make a website for free, I figured I learned a lot from it and took a look back to myself when I was first starting out and knew nothing years ago, I figured I might be able to help someone some where.

anyways I have had it up for about 4 months and haven't made any money at all lol, but I am not giving up and it is a nice hobby to have, I am hoping to reach my goal one day of 100.00 a month, I think I will abandon this project and try another.

I felt this was worth sharing because I think from reading many new people think making money is easy and fast and quite frankly it is not in my opinion. I may have to try, try and try again but I am going to be persistent and hopefully one day reach my goal and if not it was not a complete waste of time because I can take something from this all along the way.

If you are going for something small, you could try a review style site.

Like find a popular product on Clickbank, Amazon, or some other marketplace type site and get a domain that has the product name and preferably 'review' in it.

Be sure to pick an evergreen item and not like a "Make Money" product that spikes from a launch and then dies out.

That's a pretty easy method to make $100/month from SEO.

Check out Google Trends to see what's hot. It really helps when you promote products that people actually want!
