Hello all, i am new to SEO and am enjoying it very much as i am learning so much new stuff daily which is mind boggling as well as interesting. I just wanted to share with you what i am doing so you can tell me if i'm on the right track or not.
I currently have no money at all so i have had to use any free software that i could get hold of. I'm currently using TLPC for blog commenting, sick scraper for finding blogs to comment on, automatic directory submittor for directory submissions and spin chimp for article submissions.
I am currently in 11th place for my keyword on Google. This is what i've done so far -
First of all i made sure my on site optimzation was up to scratch when i first registered my site. I worked for about a week on the content and made sure it was very proffesional with my keyword in the title tag on every page, keyword in the description and keyword atleast 3 times on every page in the content.
After about 1 week i made a 10 spoke link wheel (web 2.0) using sites such as blogger, wordpress and weebly. I wrote only one article and spun it 9 times with spin chimp.
I left the link wheel alone for a few days and did some manual comenting on high pr ******** and nofollow blogs to my money site (around 20 comments per day). I also started to submit my site to directories as well as making an odd article every few days (not many though)
When i first got TLPC i started to blast my link wheel spokes with about 6k blog comments per day but was having little success rate. I nearly gave up on myself until i decided to randomly check if i was ranking for my keyword and all of a sudden it popped up 23rd place! i couldn't beleive my eyes. This motivated me to carry on working hard with SEO so i started learning more and more.
I carried on blasting a different spoke each day with 6k blog comments as well as manually creating forum profiles pointing to my spokes (not many), manual blog commenting pointing to my money site (.edu and .gov blogs also) and the odd few directory submissions (money site).
My keyword has relatively easy competition so i've managed to get my way up to 11th place with what i've done so far (not much at all imo)
Now i want to get to 1st place and have been educating myself more on link building methods. I was reading about tier 1 and tier 2 links so i've just started to create a new layer of web 2.0 sites which point to my original link wheel spokes.
I have wrote an article and am using spin chimp to spin it again so i can create about 30 new web 2.0's with spun content to point to my original link wheel (tier 1's)
So i should end up with 10 tier 1 and 30 tier 2 links. I have also just started to use onlywire to submit my money site and all of my tier 1 (link wheel spokes) to social bookmarks but i have no idea if it will be beneficial or not.
The questions i have are as follows -
Thankyou very much in advanced!,

The questions i have are as follows -
- Should i continue making a new layer (tier 2's) or is this a bad idea?
- Would i benefit from creating a new article daily with a link to my money site and also a deep link and submitting it to 1 non auto approve site like ezinearticles and then spinning it with spin chimp and submitting it to 10 auto approve article sites?
- Should i continue using the automatic directory submittor to submit to directories or is this pointless?
- Should i continue manually creating forum profiles pointing to my tier 1 links or is this a waste of time? (I saw xrumer can make 100k profile links within little time which kind of un-motivates me to continue manually creating forum profiles)
- Should i continue submitting every new web 2.0 i make to social bookmarks? (does it matter if im using the same usernames to submit all of my sites to? will google notice this?)
- Is manuall blog commenting a waste of time? Sometimes it takes me a while to find some good high pr blog engine blogs as my site is aksimet banned so i can't post to aksimet protected blogs
Thankyou very much in advanced!,
