My PPD+Viral content website journey

Hello guys.

My name is Fadi, I'm that kind of person who is on BHW 24/7 reading and reading but barely does any action. I decided to make a journey thread to motivate myself to keep going, and of course to share my process with you guys.

1 year ago, I used to make YouTube videos to promote my PPD links in the description, it was a great experience, I was making 1-10$ a day, and in my best day I made 50$.

Suddenly, YouTube decided to remove my videos, and this is where I gave up on IM. My income dropped to 0$, I tried to re-upload my videos but that was not enough.

1 year later (now), I randomly opened FileIce (PPD website), and I realize that I earned 100$ this year by doing nothing! And here comes my motivation to continue!

My Plans

As I mentioned above, I'm going back to my PPD journey, hoping to make 10$ a day, and if it goes too well, my goal will be 50$! (This is like my dream goal)

Aside from PPD, I have read a journey about a guy making a website similar to ViralNova, and his income inspired me to do the same!
Being the noob that I am, I can build my own website, but I have 0 experience on promoting it. I'm reading soooo much about facebook ads, because I'm afraid to spend a lot of money on the ads, but the results will disappoint me and I won't get my investment money back. So I'm being very careful with this. I wish I can ask friends to help me out with this so my money won't go away for nothing, but the only friends I got are you! (Of course I'm talking about IM friends >.< I'm not lonely!! I have a gf!!.....and by gf I mean a good friend)

What I have done so far

PPD

Yesterday I uploaded 6 YouTube videos with my PPD link in the description. I boosted views+likes via enhanceviews, but the comment system doesn't seem to work, so I wrote some comments manually. (One video per account! In case one of them will be removed)



Website

2 days ago, I started building my "viral" website, by today I posted around 10 interesting posts separated by categories. My website is more or less done, but I'm not going to air it yet (Its in my localhost) until I will be sure with myself about the facebook ads, or to find out a good way to promote my website.

Things to do today

1) Make at least 3 more PPD videos and boost them.
2) Continue working on my website:
-Placing Google ads.
-Finishing the footer.
-I created a logo, but after finishing I realized that the name was taken, so I'm going to make a new logo with a different name.
-Adding 2-3 more interesting posts.
3) Reading some more about a website promotion using Facebook.

That's it, I will update this thread daily with my process on both my PPD and website. I hope some people will find it interesting, if not, I'll just keep updating to myself to see how well I'm doing.

For those who are interested in helping me in any way, I will be more than happy. I don't need a spoon feeder, just someone to direct me to the right path, especially at promotion =)

PS: I wrote this thread way better earlier today, but after pressing "post", my chrome crashed, and everything was gone!!! Freaking worst way to start the day...

UPDATE:

So these 2 days I have done so much.

1) Bought a domain+hosting.
2) Uploaded my website.
3) Fixed sooooo many bugs (20+ hours only fixing bugs, fck permalinks).
4) Added google analytics+StatCounter to track my visitors.
5) Posted some more articles to my website.

I was so busy with my website that I haven't uploaded anything for my PPD, 3 videos in 2 days is not something I wished for. Although, I got 1 good lead out of this.

Things I will do today

1) Add many more articles to not make it empty-ish.
2) Have some more fixes on my website.
3) Try to get some free backlinks as a start (Good idea? I have some website who offer free backlinks). I think it won't hurt in any way, so why not.
4) Try to promote it using Facebook manually. (Will give it many tests, have some ideas in mind, hope they will work)
5) And of course, show all my friends, maybe they will also help me to share it and find it attractive and enjoyable.

I believe my website has a huge potential, I'm very happy that I'm working on it. My first website adventure, did so many mistakes, fixed most of them, I'm pretty proud of myself so far.

Results

My website is fresh new, so I don't expect any income yet.

UPDATE:

Busy week, 24/7 working on my website, writing 100% original posts (except for videos/images from google). Tried making facebook accounts to advertise in groups, but they keep asking me to identify my "friends" that I randomly add, and I have no idea who they are, so my accounts go to the trash.

Spent around $10 on facebook ads on posts with very attractive Titles/content. Results are not so satisfying.
I got 500 UV this week so far, and only 3 adsense clicks. Very low income though, like one of the clicks got me 0.01nis which is around 0.025$... Such a joke.

For the PPD I have no time to upload videos since I'm full time on my website trying to find ways to get visitors. But I earn some small cash from time to time so its fine by me.

What kind of content are you sharing through your PPD link if it's okay to ask? Just curious. Best of luck with your journey, though.
