    Hi everyone,

I only joined BHW today but have already started my journey so thought I would start a thread. I'm starting my own PBN as an SEO tactic for a money site that I have recently created. I want to use the PBN to send high quality links to my money site, as well as any other money sites that I make in the future. Therefore some of the websites within the PBN are going to be niche-specific and others a little more broad. I am also toying with the idea of a few PBN sites for local services as I believe this would be a good way of ranking local businesses and charging them for the privilege.

Apart from research which I have been doing for quite some time on here and other sites, I started my PBN journey yesterday when I began writing articles and content. In the last 36 hours or so I have written a total of 17 articles for 4 different websites for my PBN. I have written the articles myself because that way I know that the content is good quality, 100% unique and not spammy.

I am aiming to get the articles and content written for the first 10 websites before I spend any money on domains and hosting, because there isn't much more demoralising than paying for 10 domains and hosting accounts and realising that you now have to make 10 websites from scratch. At least once I have the content ready it will just be a case of registering the domains and hosting and then setting up the websites.

Anyway that's where I'm up to now. Over the next few days I will be writing more content and articles and I will update this thread as and when appropriate.

Good luck with your journey! Saw you made it from your intro post. I am very envious of your ability to create that much content in so little time. My content writing skills are pretty poor (really my weakest link) so I admire anybody whose able to produce quality content.

I look forward to seeing your progress on this journey,
    Cheers

Thanks for the kind words. I am fortunate enough in that I went to a good school and so I have the ability to write quite well. However my ability to write content quickly has mainly come from practice. Whether or not the quality is up to scratch we will have to wait until I start publishing it to see!

I now have 28 articles ready for 7 different websites - 5 of which are niche-specific. The other 2 websites are for another niche that I hope to build a money site around in the not-so-distant future. I am also conducting some research on building a separate PBN specifically for local businesses as I believe this could open up a lot of possibilities.

I've now got enough content for 8 sites so I will try and get 2 mote done over the weekend so that I can start looking for expired domains and building the PBN.

I've put the local PBN idea on hold for now as there are a lot more risks when someone else's website is involved, although I have had an idea to get around that.

I like your thought process - getting the content ready first as that is a big part.
Have you thought about the logistics, and cost, of hosting yet though?

    Thanks - I don't intend to.

Yes I've given it a lot of thought and am aware of the costs. To make it more financially manageable, once I have created the initial 10 websites or so I will try to add at least one website to my network each week. It's a slow way of doing things but if my first money site begins to rank within a couple of months then I should see a return on my investment, which I can then invest in to the network.

I'm treating this like a hobby at the moment, and so I'm expecting it to cost me money rather then make it to begin with.

Silly question, yes, but what is PBN?

I've spent most of this week so far researching a bit more about PBNs. I also got a bit distracted with another idea, but for now I've put that on the backburner until I at least start seeing some results from this project. I did get some work done on the PBN though, namely:

    1. Wrote content for another PBN site.
    2. Made an HTML website for that content, and saved it locally on my computer.
    3. Acquired my first expired domain and hosting for it (on seperate server to my money site of course)

The expired domain used to belong to a personal blog. I've created a new blog with wordpress for that domain and written a few posts that are being scheduled to post at random intervals. None of these will link to my money site just yet though.

This week I will probably get another expired domain, another hosting account and just upload the HTML website that I have prepared with a link back to my money site.

You have done everything right at this point. Love your mindset and the thought process behind this. This looks like it's gonna be a great journey. Good luck mate ! I will be following your progress. :)

Also instead of scheduling your posts, isn't it better to do it manually.. To avoid a footprint.

Thanks... it's definitely going to be a journey. Time will determine whether it's going to be a great one or not though.

With regards to scheduling posts I'm not sure how this will leave a footprint because as far as I am aware there is no way of telling if a post was scheduled or just posted straightaway. I'm by no means an expert though so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Point noted though - for the sake of variety it's probably best not to autoschedule posts that often.

Whats your content posting strategy on your blogs, do you just post content when building links?

As I am only just starting out and have only the one money site, the blog that I am creating is going to look as genuine as possible so that it would pass a manual review. So no I'm not only posting content with links. Once I have finished with this blog I will probably have a total of 5 or 6 posts on it, with just one of those linking to my money site, and the others either linking to general authority sites that seem natural for the post, or to nothing at all.
