How much could I expect to earn if I had 1,000 proxies in my own pool directly from end users? Does it scale linearly or is there a threshold to hit to earn a lot more?

The only direct way to earn from proxies is to sell them.
The price depends on the location and quality(speed, blacklists, network hostnames) of your proxies.
The very approximate price for residental proxies is between 0.1$ - 0.5$ per day. (1$ for special proxies like JP or other rare locations)
If you want to sell them all in bulk - the price will be significantly lower.

Very good comment.

I can add - it's all supply and demand.

Also, 1k residential proxies is pretty much nothing if you sold that directly as a service, it wouldn't be enough for majority of the users.

That high? On the low side you’d assume $100 a day from 1,000 proxies?

I see, would reselling to pools be a good option? I can grow the pool for sure, just wanted to see what I could actually expect value wise since it would really be a high quality untouched pool

Are those legally sourced?

Worth more - no. The question would be if you run a legit or illegal business.
Ah, how much would you value a pool of that size at? Idrk what typically would be normal for resellers

I think that making money with thousand proxies can be different depending on quality of the proxies.
You might be able to make a lot of money every month. But its really important to have trust be reliable and have lots of customers if you want to do well for a long time.

This would be a private pool so should have extremely low blockage, how much would /GB rates be that would satisfy that?

to find out the best price one needs to understand market and target audience. U could consider premium pricing to reflect the value of ur service. keep eye on competitors for self improvement.
